How to rerun the draw
- Check that the SHA-256 of the revealed key matches the fingerprint published at launch.
- Sort the list by id, write it as «id:entries» (one per line, newline separated) and check that its SHA-256 matches the list fingerprint.
- Hand out tickets in that same order: each entrant holds as many as their entries. Add them all up for the total.
- For position 1, start with counter = 0. Take the SHA-256 of the text «key:counter» and read its first 6 bytes as an integer (big-endian). Discard it and bump the counter while it is greater than or equal to 2^48 − (2^48 mod total); this stops the first entrants being favoured.
- Divide that number by the total and keep the remainder: that is the winning ticket. Walk the list adding entries until you pass it; that entrant wins the position.
- Remove them and all their tickets, recalculate the total and repeat from step 4, without resetting the counter, for the next position.
