Technical information
$500 across all account types.
- Standard: every 3 days, from 3 days after the first trade
- Reserve: instant payout once eligible (5 winning days)
- Express: daily payouts
- Direct: instant payout from day one
Withdrawal eligibility is confirmed by the end-of-day (EOD) dashboard update. Once the withdrawal button is enabled, a request can be submitted at any time without waiting for the next EOD update.
2% processing fee on all withdrawals (Riseworks).
Payouts processed within 24 business hours. If Blue Guardian misses that window through a delay on their end, you receive an extra 10% profit share on that payout. Does not apply on weekends or bank holidays, nor to delays from compliance or risk reviews, Rise onboarding or a pending trader response.
After completing the evaluation and trading consistently on a Simulated Funded Account, the Risk Management team may invite traders to Live. There is no fixed timeline; each trader is evaluated individually. From 28/09/2026, all eligible funded accounts merge into one Live Account at transition. Their starting Live drawdowns add together: five $50K accounts provide $10,000 of combined drawdown. The $15,000 cap applies to new purchases after 28/09/2026. Contract limits scale with the combined drawdown, up to 10 minis / 100 micros. At each live profit milestone of 0.5x, 1x and 1.5x the starting drawdown, 25% of that drawdown is deposited into the Live balance as a bonus. The bonus becomes withdrawable after five winning days with the account in profit. Instead of trading Live, the trader may choose a one-time Live Buyout of 50% of the combined starting drawdown at transition. It is available once per trader, with a 28-day cooldown afterward. Live accounts use end-of-day drawdown with no daily loss limit. CME professional data, trade commissions and platform fees are deducted from the balance. Contract limits may increase with consistent performance.

- $50,000 → $2,100
- $100,000 → $3,600
- $150,000 → $5,100

- $50,000 → $2,100
- $100,000 → $3,600
- $150,000 → $5,100
Payouts are only available from profits earned above the buffer.
Reserve
- No buffer to reach before a payout, but after any withdrawal the drawdown floor locks at starting balance + $100.
Direct
- No profit buffer requirement.
90% on all funded accounts and plans.
A payout delayed beyond the 24-business-hour guarantee adds an extra 10% profit share on that payout.
Trailing end-of-day (EOD) on all plans. Values per plan and size:
- Standard $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K: $1,500 / $2,000 / $3,500 / $5,000
- Reserve $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K: $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500
- Express $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K: $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,500
- Direct $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K: $1,500 / $2,000 / $3,500 / $4,500
Once the trailing drawdown reaches the starting balance, it locks and stops trailing.
On Direct the drawdown becomes static after the account exceeds the initial trail balance or after the first payout request. After any approved payout the drawdown floor locks at starting balance + $100 on every plan.
Soft breach on every plan: open trades are closed automatically and the account is disabled for the rest of the day, then reinstated the next trading day.
- Standard $25K: none. $50K / $100K / $150K: $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000
- Reserve: configurable at checkout. Traders can choose no daily loss limit or a soft DLL of $600 / $1,200 / $1,700 / $3,000 on $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K. The price varies depending on the selected option
- Express challenge $25K: none. $50K / $100K / $150K: $1,000 / $1,250 / $1,750
- Express funded $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K: $500 / $1,000 / $1,250 / $1,750
- Direct $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K: $1,000 / $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,000
- No minimum trading days on evaluation. Standard can be passed in as little as one trading day
- Express with the optional 50% consistency add-on can qualify after 2 green days
- Funded: one trade every 7 days to keep the account active
- Standard: no minimum. First payout 3 days after the first trade
- Reserve: 5 winning days before each payout, with a minimum of $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 profit per day on $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K. Winning days reset after every payout
- Express: no minimum
- Direct: no minimum
Scaling applies to funded Reserve and Express accounts only. Standard and Direct keep flat contract limits from start to finish.
On Reserve and Express you get full contract size during the evaluation, and funded limits start lower and grow with the account balance. Updated at end of day (EOD) on the closing balance; if the EOD balance drops below a trigger, the tier can go back down.
Starting funded limits
- $25,000: 1 mini / 10 micros
- $50,000: 2 minis / 20 micros
- $100,000: 3 minis / 30 micros
- $150,000: 3 minis / 30 micros
Scaling triggers ($25K / $50K / $100K / $150K)
- +$1,500: 2/20 · 3/30 · 4/40 · 4/40
- +$2,000: — · 4/40 · 5/50 · 5/50
- +$3,000: — · — · 8/80 · 8/80
- +$4,500: — · — · — · 12/120
Flat limits (Standard and Direct)
- $25,000: 1 mini / 10 micros
- $50,000: 4 minis / 40 micros
- $100,000: 8 minis / 80 micros
- $150,000: 12 minis / 120 micros
1 mini = 10 micros; contracts can be mixed within the limit.
Evaluation accounts can be reset at 30% off the original price. After failing the evaluation, the trader has 7 days to decide whether to reset. Funded accounts cannot be reset.
Reserve challenges are configurable at checkout. Traders can choose a Daily Loss Limit or no Daily Loss Limit, combined with a 40% consistency rule (3-day pass) or a 50% consistency rule (2-day pass). The price varies depending on the selected combination.
Express challenges offer an optional 50% evaluation consistency add-on instead of the standard 40% rule, allowing traders to qualify after as few as 2 green days.
Rules
Allowed on both challenge and funded accounts, on every plan. Traders can open, manage and close positions during high-impact news. Blue Guardian warns that slippage and spread widening may occur.
- Automated scalping systems exceeding 200 trades per day.
- AI, bots and fully automated trading mechanisms (all account types).
- Hands-off, continuous day-and-night trading or complete automation.
- Placing multiple limit orders at the same price to manipulate fills.
- Strategies aimed at exploiting isolated fills in low-liquidity or gapped markets.
- Using tight brackets or absence of slippage in the simulated market for favorable fills.
- Trading during tier 1 economic data releases.
- Coordinated trading across unconnected accounts (identical or opposing strategies).
- Microscalping (trades held seconds with minimal margins).
- Trading within 2% of a CME price limit.
- Trading without a stop loss, relying on the trailing threshold to close trades.
A single trading day cannot equal or exceed:
- Standard: 40%, on the funded account only
- Reserve: configurable as 40% (3-day pass) or 50% (2-day pass), on the evaluation only
- Express: 40% on the evaluation by default; an optional 50% evaluation consistency add-on allows qualification after as few as 2 green days
- Direct: 20% on the first payout, 25% on the second, 30% from the third onwards
Calculation: Highest Net Profit Day / Total Account PnL. On evaluation accounts, passing is delayed until the ratio complies with the selected threshold. On funded accounts, payouts are blocked until the ratio drops below the applicable threshold. Violating the rule does NOT terminate the account.
At least one trade every 7 days on funded accounts.
Microscalping (trades held seconds with minimal profit margins) is prohibited. Automated scalping systems that exceed 200 trades per day are not allowed. Exploiting tight brackets or the simulated market's absence of slippage is forbidden.
Max risk-to-reward ratio: 5:1. For every $100 of profit target, your initial stop loss cannot exceed $500. Mental stops are accepted but excessive risk-taking can lead to warnings or payout disqualification. Adjusting stops to add risk goes against policy; only move stops forward to trail and protect profits.
Additional risk guardrails:
- Trade within 2% of any CME price limit is prohibited.
- Trading without clear risk management, excessive sizing, inconsistent contract sizes or "all-in" strategies may be considered gambling and lead to account review.
- Holding a position into the daily 16:10 EST auto-close is fine; the auto-close itself doesn't breach the account.
Banned countries
Four models, and the daily loss limit is what separates them
Blue Guardian Futures runs four account types across $25,000 to $150,000, all on end-of-day trailing drawdown and all with a 6% profit target on the evaluation models. What changes between them is how tightly the day is policed and how you get paid.
Standard is the structured route: a daily loss limit of 2% of the initial balance, except on the $25,000 account, which has none. Payouts every 3 days, and a 40% consistency rule that applies on the funded account.
Reserve removes the daily loss limit entirely at every size and pays instantly. The trade-off sits in the consistency rule — 50%, but only during the challenge, not once funded.
Express is built for daily cash flow: instant payouts, a daily loss limit that appears only on the funded account, and a 40% consistency during the challenge only.
Direct skips evaluation altogether. You buy a funded account and trade from day one, with instant payouts and a consistency rule that loosens as you get paid: 20% on your first payout, 25% on the second, 30% from the third onward.
Soft breach means the day ends, not the account
The single most important mechanic here, and it is easy to misread as a normal daily limit.
On Standard and Express, hitting the daily loss limit is a soft breach: all open positions close automatically and the account is disabled for the rest of the day. It reopens the next session. Your account is not gone.
The maximum drawdown is a different matter — that one ends the account. It trails your end-of-day balance, so intraday swings do not move it, but every profitable close raises the floor permanently.
Contract limits: flat on some models, progressive on others
Standard and Direct use flat limits — the same maximum position from the first day of evaluation to the funded account. On a $50,000 account that is 4 minis or 40 micros, and the ratio is fixed at 1 mini = 10 micros, so you can mix freely within the equivalent.
Reserve and Express work differently: full contract access during the evaluation, then a progressive scaling system once funded. You start smaller on the funded account and earn your way back up.
Payouts: caps, buffers, and a floor that locks
The split is 90/10 in your favour across funded accounts. Beyond that, the structure is more layered than most futures firms, and three mechanisms interact.
Every approved payout locks your drawdown floor at starting balance + $100. On a $50,000 account that means $50,100, permanently. The firm's stated reason is to stop you withdrawing down to your own breach level.
There is a funded buffer you cannot touch. Only profit above it is withdrawable — $2,100 on a $50,000 account, $3,600 on $100,000. It is not a target; it is a floor under your withdrawable balance.
Payout caps rise with your payout number. On a $50,000 Standard account the first payout caps at $2,500 and subsequent ones at $3,000. Standard payouts become available 3 days after your first trade.
The 24-hour guarantee, and what pauses the clock
Eligible payouts process within 24 business hours, and missing that window pays you an additional 10% profit share on that payout.
The exclusions matter: the clock does not run during weekends or bank holidays, compliance or risk reviews, Rise onboarding, or while the firm is waiting on documents from you.
Rules: news allowed, automation restricted
News trading is allowed on all four models — unusual, and the opposite of the CFD side of the same firm.
Overnight and weekend holding are permitted. Trading runs 6:00 PM to 4:10 PM EST, and all open trades close automatically at 4:10 PM. That automatic close is explicitly not a violation and does not breach the account.
Automation has a specific ceiling
The position is stricter than "EAs allowed" suggests. Fully automated AI and bot systems are strictly prohibited across all account types, as is any hands-off, round-the-clock trading. Semi-automated trading is permitted only if you actively monitor and manually manage the trades. On top of that, automated systems exceeding 200 trades per day count as prohibited automated scalping.
The reasoning is stated openly — these are simulated fills, and strategies that exploit the fill algorithm produce evaluation results that would not survive live execution.
Martingale is prohibited: you may not progressively increase position size after a loss.
Hedging is prohibited too, including between your own accounts — opposing positions in the same or highly correlated instruments to offset risk can breach the account, remove profits and deny payouts.
Copy trading is allowed, third-party copier software included, but only between accounts you legally own — your own Blue Guardian accounts and your own external ones. Copying from other traders or signal providers is prohibited.
Scalping is allowed, microscalping is capped
The distinction is precise and worth reading before you build a strategy around speed. Scalping is permitted. Microscalping is restricted: less than 50% of your total profits may come from trades held under 10 seconds, and the rule applies in both the evaluation and the funded stage.
It is not a ban on fast trades — it is a ban on a book made mostly of them. Breaching it can mean profit removal or a payout review rather than an instant breach.
The 5:1 risk-to-reward ceiling
An unusual rule that constrains position sizing rather than strategy: your stop loss may not exceed five times your profit target. Their example is concrete — a $100 target allows a $500 stop at most.
Mental stops are permitted, but exceeding the ratio can mean a warning or disqualification from payouts. Widening a stop after entry is called out specifically as against policy.
The 2% price limit rule
A futures-specific rule that catches people who have never traded CME contracts: you may not trade within 2% of a CME price limit.
Price limits are set by the end-of-day settlement price, differ by product and contract month, and are updated daily at 5:05 PM EST. For equity products like ES, NQ, RTY and YM, overnight limits run to 7% rather than the 5% you might expect.
The Live Account is earned, not bought
This is the part that separates Blue Guardian Futures from most of the futures field.
Live Accounts use real CME execution with real capital through a partnered brokerage — not simulated fills. They cannot be purchased at any price.
Eligibility comes from performance: reaching your fifth payout on a funded account, accumulating significant lifetime payouts, or demonstrating exceptional results. Reaching payout five puts you in the review pool; it does not guarantee promotion.
What changes once promoted: daily payouts, no consistency requirement, and additional incentives. It is the only tier where the consistency rule disappears entirely.
Platforms and instruments
Four platforms, and they serve different styles. DeepCharts is the order-flow option — footprint charts, market depth, Level 2, volume profiling, running on DXFeed. Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView come as a combined solution.
The instrument list covers the standard CME catalogue — equity index futures (ES, NQ, RTY, YM and their micros), currencies (6A, 6B, 6C and others), metals and energy — each with published tick size, tick value and total cost per side, which runs around $2.22 on currencies and $2.88 on the E-mini Nasdaq.
You may hold up to 5 funded accounts simultaneously. Beyond that, additional accounts sit inactive until a slot frees up — the same queue mechanism the CFD side uses.
Legacy models still documented
Accounts bought before 6 July run on the old lineup: Rapid, Pro, Standard and Instant Standard, with their own targets and drawdowns. Those rules continue to apply to those accounts. If you are comparing figures found online, check which generation they describe.
Summary: who this firm suits
Blue Guardian Futures fits a futures trader who wants a daily limit that pauses rather than kills, and who is willing to earn a genuine live account rather than buy one.
It suits you well for concrete reasons. The soft breach means hitting your daily loss limit disables the day, not the account. News trading is allowed on every model, unlike the CFD side of the same firm. Reserve removes the daily loss limit entirely, and the $25,000 Standard account has none either. The automatic close at 4:10 PM does not count as a violation, so forgetting to flatten costs you nothing. And the Live Account gives real CME execution with real capital, earned through performance rather than sold as an upgrade.
Where it can catch you out
The consistency rules differ sharply between models and stages — Direct starts at 20% and eases with each payout, Reserve applies 50% but only during the challenge, Express 40% during the challenge, Standard 40% once funded. Buying the wrong model for your style is easy.
Every payout locks your drawdown floor at starting balance + $100, and there is a funded buffer you can never withdraw. Between the two, your usable profit is smaller than the raw balance suggests.
Full automation is prohibited outright — bots and AI systems are banned across every account type, and only supervised semi-automated trading is allowed. Martingale and hedging are both prohibited, hedging even between your own accounts. The 5:1 risk-to-reward ceiling limits how wide your stops can be, and the 2% CME price limit rule is unfamiliar territory if you are arriving from forex.
Three things to understand before buying. Reserve and Express give full contracts during the evaluation but scale you back down once funded — the funded account starts smaller than the challenge you just passed. Payout caps depend on which payout number you are on, not just account size. And accounts bought before 6 July run on a completely different rule set, so any figures you find from earlier in the year may describe a product that no longer exists.
