Reviews Policy

Current version: 7 August 2026.

1. Purpose

This Reviews Policy explains how reviews work on TheGodFunded — what we allow, what we don’t, and what users and prop trading firms (“firms”) can expect when interacting with reviews.

Reviews are a core trust signal on our platform. Both traders and firms rely on them to make decisions, so we apply this policy strictly and consistently to everyone.

2. Who can write a review

A review can be published on TheGodFunded only if all of the following are true:

  • The author has a registered account with a verified email address.
  • The author has personally traded with the firm they are reviewing (passed an evaluation, traded a funded account, paid for a challenge, etc.).
  • The author has uploaded a valid purchase proof of their relationship with that firm (receipt, dashboard screenshot, payment confirmation, etc.).
  • The review is written in the author’s own words, in good faith, and reflects their actual experience.

Reviews that fail any of these conditions are rejected during moderation and never published.

3. Manual moderation

Every review goes through manual moderation by our team before becoming public. We are not an auto-publish platform.

During moderation we check:

  • That the purchase proof is genuine and matches the firm being reviewed.
  • That the review text is consistent with someone who actually used the service.
  • That the review does not contain personal data of third parties, threats, defamation, hate speech, spam, or content unrelated to the firm.

If a review does not pass moderation we contact the author when possible, explain why, and give them the chance to amend it.

4. Payout proofs and the “withdrew here” badge

Traders may optionally upload a payout proof (bank statement, payout confirmation, etc.) for a firm they have a withdrawal from. Once approved by our team, that proof unlocks a public “withdrew at firm” badge on the trader’s reviews of that firm.

Payout proofs are reviewed manually, never auto-approved, and the underlying file is never made public — only the badge derived from the approved proof is shown.

5. Editing and removing your own review

A trader may edit their own review once after publication. Both the original text and the edited version are kept on record for transparency; the public page shows the edited version with an “edited” mark.

A trader may also request the removal of their own published review at any time, with a brief reason. Our team reviews removal requests and acts on them within a reasonable time.

6. Firm replies

The firm being reviewed can publicly reply to any review of its profile from its panel. Replies are public, attributed to the firm, and shown directly under the review.

Replies are not moderated before publication. The firm is solely responsible for what it writes in a reply. We may remove replies that contain personal data of third parties, threats, defamation, hate speech, or content clearly unrelated to the review they reply to.

The firm may edit a reply once. Both versions are kept on record.

7. Flagging a review

Firms have a flag action on every review they receive. Flagging is reserved for fake reviews — for example:

  • The author never traded with the firm.
  • The purchase proof was falsified or manipulated.
  • The author used a false identity or is impersonating someone else.
  • The review is part of an organized brigading or smear attempt.

Flagging is not the right tool for reviews you simply disagree with, opinions you find unfair, or complaints you can clarify with information. Those cases are handled by replying publicly to the review.

Our team reviews every flag manually. If we conclude the review is fake, we remove it. If we conclude it is genuine, we keep it published and notify the firm of the decision.

8. Incentives from the reviewed firm — strictly forbidden

Firms may freely encourage their clients to leave honest reviews on TheGodFunded. Asking a satisfied customer to share their experience is fine and welcomed — it benefits both the firm and the wider trader community.

What firms may not do is offer any benefit in exchange for a review. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Discounts, coupons or refunds.
  • Free or discounted challenges, evaluations or accounts.
  • Direct payments, gifts, account top-ups, balance credits.
  • Preferred treatment, priority support, or any other advantage.

This rule applies whether the resulting review ends up positive or negative.

TheGodFunded may award Respect for actions that help build the community, including publishing a verified review. That reward is granted by the platform, not by the reviewed firm; it does not depend on the rating, tone or whether the opinion is favourable. A critical review and a positive review qualify on the same terms when both are genuine, based on a real experience and pass the same verification.

When we detect a review has been incentivised — by report, by our own checks, or because the trader discloses it — we remove the affected review. We may take additional action against the firm depending on the severity and pattern.

9. Disclosure obligation for traders

Every trader is asked, at the moment of submitting a review, to confirm that they have not received any benefit from the reviewed firm or anyone connected to it in exchange for the review. Respect granted directly by TheGodFunded under the previous section does not count as a benefit from the firm.

Submitting a review knowing this confirmation is false is itself a violation of these terms and may result in the suspension of the trader’s account.

10. Favourites

Favourites are a separate signal from reviews. They reflect interest, not opinion, and they carry no restrictions: a firm may openly encourage visitors and traders to favourite its profile, including with promotions or rewards.

11. External (scraped) reviews

In addition to community reviews, the platform also displays an external review score for some firms. This score is aggregated from public sources and is not written by our community. The two views are clearly distinguished in the firm header — visitors can toggle between them.

Firms cannot directly edit or reply to external reviews on our site. If you believe an external review has been misattributed or scraped incorrectly, contact us.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Reviews Policy as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users by email and noted on this page. Continued use of the platform after a change implies acceptance of the updated policy.
