Respect is the TheGodFunded currency: it stacks up and buys discounts and prizes in the shop. Points are a different thing —you cannot spend them— and only move you up the leaderboard below, which is what hands out the funded accounts.

Everything you need to know
The round settles on the gold closing price on the COMEX, the New York metals futures market, at 5:00 PM Eastern. It is the reference price the industry quotes, which is why it decides the winner: it is published, verifiable and does not depend on which broker you look at.
The chart above shows the same data that settles the round, so what you read on screen is exactly what you are competing against.
Gold does not trade on company earnings or product news: it moves on interest rates, on the dollar and on fear. When real rates rise, holding gold costs more compared to a bond and it tends to fall. When the dollar weakens, the same metal costs more dollars and it rises. And when there is a geopolitical or financial scare, money flows in looking for shelter.
In practice, on inflation data days or Federal Reserve meeting days the range blows open. On a quiet day gold moves a few dollars; on a big data day, tens of them.
Look at the previous close and the day’s range on the chart. Most closes land near the current price, so betting on a far-off number only makes sense if you expect news. And remember it is won on absolute distance: overshooting by twenty dollars costs exactly as much as undershooting by twenty.
You pick a price and wait. At the close we compare your number with the real one and whoever missed by least wins, in absolute terms. Entries close a while before the real close, with a margin so nobody predicts with the price already made; until then you can change your number as often as you like.
The big prize is monthly: whoever finishes first takes a $5,000 funded account from The Trading Pit, and 2nd to 10th enter the raffle for a $2,500 one — no account is promised, you enter the draw. Weekly segments pay 3000, 2000, 1000 Respect to the top three, and each daily podium takes 400 and 200.
