Program Ecosystem and Structure

Hyperticks Futures offers a diverse range of participation models tailored to different trader profiles, primarily divided into evaluation-based paths and instant funding paths. These programs are designed to filter for specific trading styles, from those who prefer a structured evaluation to those seeking immediate market access.

Evaluation-Based Programs

The evaluation path consists of two main categories: Beginner and HYPER. Both are one-step evaluations, meaning traders must reach a specific profit target while adhering to risk parameters to qualify for a simulated funded account.

  • Beginner Program: This is the entry-level path characterized by lower profit targets and a structured consistency requirement. It is designed for traders who can demonstrate steady growth over time.
  • HYPER Program: This path features slightly higher profit targets compared to the Beginner model but removes the consistency rule during the evaluation phase. This allows for a more aggressive or high-conviction trading approach, provided the drawdown limits are respected.

Instant Funding Programs

For traders who wish to bypass the evaluation phase, Hyperticks provides two "Instant" models: Instant Pro Plus and Instant Flex.

  • Instant Pro Plus: Offers immediate access to a simulated funded account with a 90% profit split. It includes a soft daily loss pause, acting as a safety net for the trader's capital.
  • Instant Flex: This model is unique for its 4% intraday trailing drawdown. Notably, once the first payout is achieved, the drawdown rule adjusts to a break-even level, significantly altering the risk profile of the account in favor of the trader.

Technical Infrastructure and Market Access

The firm operates exclusively within the Futures market, providing access to a wide array of CME Group products and other major exchanges.

Available Assets

Traders can execute orders across several asset classes:

  • Equity Index Futures: High-liquidity instruments like the ES and NQ.
  • Currency Futures: Standardized contracts for major global currencies.
  • Metal and Energy Futures: Including Gold (GC) and Crude Oil (CL).
  • Agricultural and Interest Rate Futures: Diversifying the options for macro-driven traders.
  • Crypto Futures: Allowing exposure to digital assets within a regulated futures framework.

Trading Platforms

Hyperticks supports a variety of professional-grade platforms, catering to both chart-based traders and order-flow specialists:

  • TradingView: For browser-based charting and execution.
  • DeepCharts and DeepDOM: Specialized tools for depth-of-market analysis.
  • Volumetrica and ATAS: Advanced order flow and volume analysis platforms.

Risk Management and Drawdown Dynamics

Risk management is the cornerstone of the Hyperticks framework. The firm utilizes different drawdown methodologies depending on the selected program, which dictates how much "breathing room" a trader has.

Drawdown Methodologies

  • Trailing End-of-Day (EOD) Drawdown: Used in Beginner, HYPER, and Instant Pro Plus programs. This drawdown only updates at the close of the trading day based on the account's balance. This is generally more favorable for intraday traders as it ignores temporary unrealized profit peaks during the session.
  • Intraday Trailing Drawdown: Applied specifically to the Instant Flex program. This drawdown tracks the highest point of equity reached during the session. If the equity drops 4% from its intraday peak, the account is breached. However, the transition to break-even after the first payout provides a long-term stability advantage.

Daily Loss Limits

  • Soft Daily Loss Pause: Present in Beginner and Instant Pro Plus models. Instead of failing the account, a breach of the daily limit simply pauses trading for the remainder of the session. This encourages discipline without the immediate termination of the evaluation.
  • No Daily Limit: The HYPER (during evaluation) and Instant Flex programs do not enforce a daily loss limit, placing the full responsibility of risk management on the trailing drawdown.

Operational Trading Rules

Hyperticks enforces strict operational guidelines to ensure "fair play" and to simulate professional trading desk environments.

Trading Hours and Overnight Policy

The trading window is strictly defined from 6:00 PM to 4:10 PM New York time.

  • Mandatory Daily Close: All positions are automatically closed at 4:10 PM NY time. Traders are expected to manage their exits before this threshold.
  • No Weekend/Overnight Holding: Positions cannot be held past the daily close or through the weekend. This eliminates the risk of price gaps during market closures but requires traders to be strictly intraday focused.

News Trading Restrictions

The firm implements a restrictive window around high-impact economic events (Tier 1 releases).

  • The 10-Minute Window: No new trades can be opened from 5 minutes before until 5 minutes after a Tier 1 news release.
  • Existing Positions: While positions opened before the window can remain open, the trader is prohibited from modifying Stop-Loss or Take-Profit orders during this period. This prevents "news gambling" or exploiting volatility spikes with manual adjustments.

Prohibited Strategies

To maintain the integrity of the simulated environment, several strategies are banned:

  • Microscalping: Defined as repeated trades held for less than 15 seconds that target fewer than 5 ticks. This rule targets high-frequency manual clicking that does not reflect traditional market speculation.
  • Automated Trading: Fully automated bots, external execution APIs, and signal mirroring are prohibited. The trader must be the manual executor of all trades.
  • 2% Risk Rule: Traders are prohibited from risking more than 2% of the account balance on a single trade idea. This is a hard cap on aggressive position sizing.

Consistency and Scaling Requirements

The firm uses consistency rules and position scaling to ensure that a trader's success is the result of a repeatable process rather than a single lucky event.

Consistency Rule

  • Beginner Evaluation: No single day can account for more than 35% of the total profit target.
  • Beginner Simulated Funded: The consistency threshold increases to 40%.
  • Exemptions: The HYPER and Instant Pro Plus programs do not have a consistency rule, offering more flexibility for traders with varying daily returns.

Position Size Scaling

Hyperticks uses a scaling plan to manage the maximum number of contracts a trader can hold simultaneously.

  • Beginner Evaluation: Uses a 1:10 scale (e.g., 1 Mini per $10k of the account size, though specific limits are defined per account).
  • Simulated Funded: The scaling becomes more restrictive (1:5), forcing the trader to manage risk more conservatively once they are "funded."
  • Contract Limits: These are specific to each account size. For example, a 100k Beginner account allows 6 Minis during evaluation but reduces the Micro limit during the funded phase to manage exposure.

Payout and Withdrawal Policies

The transition from simulated trading to receiving payouts is governed by specific qualifying criteria and financial limits.

Minimum Profitable Days

To request a payout, traders must meet a minimum number of "qualifying" or "winning" days:

  • Beginner/HYPER: 5 winning days.
  • Instant Flex: 6 qualifying days.
  • Instant Pro Plus: A tiered structure requiring 10, 8, 6, and 5 qualifying days for the first through fourth payouts, respectively. This rewards longevity and gradual account seasoning.

Withdrawal Limits and Methods

Withdrawals are processed via Rise (with a $35 fee) or Crypto.

  • Minimums: $250 for Beginner/HYPER; 1% of starting balance for Instant programs.
  • Maximums (per payout):
    • 25k Account: $1,100
    • 50k Account: $2,000
    • 100k Account: $3,000
  • Profit Split: A standard 90% profit split applies to most programs (Beginner, HYPER, Instant Pro Plus).

Summary of Key Considerations

Hyperticks Futures presents a robust environment for futures traders, but its rules require a high degree of discipline and awareness of the "fine print."

Trader Profile Fit

  • Ideal for: Intraday traders who specialize in order flow, use professional platforms like ATAS/Volumetrica, and have a consistent, low-risk approach.
  • Not suitable for: Swing traders (due to no overnight holding), HFT/Scalpers (due to the 15s/5-tick rule), or news traders who rely on execution during the event release.

Highlights

  • Drawdown Flexibility: The End-of-Day trailing drawdown on most accounts is a significant advantage for managing intraday volatility.
  • No Activation Fees: The current catalog eliminates the common industry practice of charging an extra fee once the evaluation is passed.
  • Instant Funding Options: High-capital access without the time-consuming evaluation phase.
  • Platform Variety: Support for multiple high-end execution and analysis tools.

Limitations

  • Strict Scalping Definition: The 15-second/5-tick rule can be restrictive for very fast manual traders.
  • News Windows: The 10-minute "no-trade" zone around Tier 1 news requires constant monitoring of the economic calendar.
  • Withdrawal Caps: The maximum withdrawal limits per payout period may slow down the growth of high-performing traders compared to uncapped firms.
  • Risk Cap: The 2% per trade idea rule mandates strict position sizing calculations before every entry.
