ThinkCapital launches Bolt Flex, an instant funding account with balance-based drawdown

drawdownforexproduct updateinstant funding

ThinkCapital has launched Bolt Flex, a second version of its Bolt instant funding program. Like Bolt, it has no evaluation: the trader starts on a simulated funded account from day one.

The difference is in the risk rules. Bolt Flex has a 3% daily loss limit based on balance and a 7% maximum loss that trails the balance and locks at the initial balance once the account grows by 7%. Unrealised profit on open trades does not move the loss floor. The standard Bolt keeps a 3% equity-based daily limit and a 6% trailing equity max loss.

Bolt Flex is available in five sizes:

  • $2,500: $59
  • $5,000: $107
  • $10,000: $191
  • $25,000: $419
  • $50,000: $719

Its best day is capped at 25% of total profit, compared with 20% on Bolt. Payouts every 14 days, an 80% profit split, the optional add-ons and the scaling plan work the same on both versions. Traders can hold one active account per size across Bolt and Bolt Flex.

Think Capital Revamps Dual Step Challenge: Enhanced Flexibility and New Rules

Think Capital has announced a significant update to its "Dual Step Challenge" program, designed to offer greater flexibility and alignment with diverse trading styles. The revamp introduces two distinct models: the "Dual Step (Swing)" and the "Dual Step (Intraday)," each tailored to specific trader preferences. The Dual Step (Swing) model permits news trading and holding positions over the weekend. It sets a 4% daily drawdown based on balance and an 8% overall maximum drawdown fixed to the initial balance. Profit targets are 8% for Phase 1 and 5% for Phase 2, with dynamic leverage of 1:100. Expert Advisors (EAs) are allowed. Conversely, the Dual Step (Intraday) model prohibits news trading and holding positions over the weekend. It maintains the same profit targets and leverage, but its daily drawdown is 4% based on equity. The overall maximum drawdown is also 8% fixed to the initial balance, and EAs are allowed. Both models offer optional add-ons such as weekly payouts and an increased profit split of up to 90%. These enhancements aim to better adapt to participants' individual trading systems.
