Rules

News trading

News trading is allowed. Daily and maximum drawdown limits and all other risk rules remain active during volatile events.

Expert Advisor (EA)

Self-developed bots and EAs are allowed when the trader can prove ownership of the strategy. Public or third-party bots are prohibited. Cleo does not currently support external bots, although its built-in semi-assisted tools may be used.

Mandatory stop loss

Recommended. During the funded stage, consistently trading without stop losses may be considered poor risk management.

Weekend positions

Positions may be held overnight, through weekends and for as long as the strategy requires.

Copy trading

Copying or mirroring trades from other accounts, platforms, signal services or third parties is prohibited during both evaluation and funded stages.

Prohibited strategies

Prohibited practices include latency or gap exploitation, external or delayed data feeds, arbitrage, manipulative HFT, group trading, account mirroring, cross-account hedging, account rolling, grid trading, manipulative tick scalping, disproportionate position sizing, unauthorized third-party account management and manipulation of Bybit API keys, balances or challenge parameters.

Consistency rule

Funded stage only. The best day must account for less than 25% of total profit on Instant Funding, 30% on One-Step and 40% on Two-Step. Exceeding the threshold delays payouts until compliance; it does not close the account.
Nitro uses a Funded Score below 20%: best day profit divided by total profit from profitable days in the payout cycle. This delays payout until compliant and never closes the account.

Inactivity rule

Deactivation after 30 days without trading. Email warning after 14 days of inactivity.

Scalping

Tick scalping performed with manipulative intent or to exploit execution conditions is prohibited.

Maximum risk limit

Each trade must keep its realized loss below 3% of account equity at the time it was opened, both per partial close and cumulatively. In the funded stage, individual positions are capped at 1x account balance on Instant Funding and 2x on One-Step/Two-Step; cumulative exposure is capped at 2x and 3x respectively. The first position-size or exposure violation receives one five-minute correction window.

Business Infrastructure and Institutional Profile

Mubite operates as a specialized proprietary trading firm headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic. Established in 2024 under the leadership of CEO Peter Andreas, the firm distinguishes itself by focusing exclusively on the cryptocurrency market. Unlike traditional prop firms that rely on MetaTrader or DXTrade linked to various forex brokers, Mubite utilizes ByBit as its primary broker. This integration allows for a trading environment that remains active 24/7, aligning with the native liquidity and operational hours of digital assets.

The technical infrastructure is centered around a proprietary or integrated environment known as Cleo. This ecosystem is designed to handle high leverage—up to 1:100 for crypto—while enforcing a strict set of risk management parameters through automated monitoring. The firm’s presence on Trustpilot, though relatively recent, indicates an active user base, and the absence of country restrictions (with a few exceptions noted on their official site) suggests a broad international reach.

Evaluation Models and Account Structures

Mubite provides three distinct pathways for traders to access funded capital: Instant Funding, One-Step Evaluation, and Two-Step Evaluation. Each model is tailored to different risk appetites and time horizons.

Instant Funding

This model bypasses the evaluation phase entirely, allowing traders to earn from the first trade.

  • Initial Profit Split: Starts at 70%, with the option to increase it to 80% via paid add-ons.
  • Drawdown Mechanism: Utilizes a Smart Drawdown of 10%. This is a dynamic limit that evolves based on account performance.
  • Withdrawal Thresholds: The first payout is available 14 days after the first trade, provided a 5% profit target has been reached. Subsequent payouts are also on a 14-day cycle.
  • Capital Cost: Due to the immediate access to live funding, these accounts carry a significantly higher entry price compared to evaluation-based models.

One-Step Evaluation

A single-phase challenge designed for traders who prefer a faster route to funding without the complexity of a two-stage process.

  • Profit Target: A fixed 10% of the starting balance.
  • Drawdown Limits: A 4% daily limit and a 6% maximum limit. These are relatively tight constraints that demand high precision in risk management.
  • Minimum Trading Days: 10 days. A day only counts if the absolute closed P&L movement exceeds 0.25% of the initial balance, preventing "empty" trades to pass the time limit.
  • Profit Split: Standardized at 80%, scalable to 90%.

Two-Step Evaluation

The most traditional model, offering higher drawdown buffers in exchange for a longer verification process.

  • Phase 1 Target: 10%.
  • Phase 2 Target: 5%.
  • Drawdown Limits: A 5% daily limit and an 8% maximum limit. This provides more "breathing room" than the One-Step model.
  • Minimum Trading Days: 10 days for Phase 1 and 3 days for Phase 2, subject to the same 0.25% P&L rule.
  • Refund Policy: The evaluation fee is refundable after the first payout in the funded stage, but notably, this applies only to the 2-Step model.

Risk Management and Trading Constraints

The firm employs a sophisticated and rigorous risk framework that traders must adhere to. Violations in these areas often lead to immediate account termination or the pausing of accounts.

Maximum Risk Per Trade

A critical rule for all accounts is the 3% maximum loss limit per trade. This calculation is based on account equity at the time the trade was opened.

  • Cumulative and Partial: The 3% limit applies both to a single trade and the cumulative realized loss of all partial closes within that trade.
  • Implication: Traders cannot "set and forget" wide stop losses. They must ensure that even in a worst-case scenario (slippage or gap), the realized loss does not exceed 3% of equity. This forces a disciplined approach to position sizing.

Position Sizing and Exposure Limits

Mubite limits the total exposure a trader can take relative to their account size:

  • Instant Funding: Individual positions are capped at 1x account balance; cumulative exposure is capped at 2x.
  • Evaluation Accounts: Individual positions are capped at 2x account balance; cumulative exposure is capped at 3x.
  • Correction Window: The firm offers a one-time five-minute window to correct a position-size violation. If the trader fails to adjust the exposure within this timeframe, it is considered a hard breach.

Daily and Maximum Drawdown Calculations

  • Daily Drawdown: Calculated based on equity and resets at midnight UTC. This means that floating losses can trigger a breach even if the trades are not closed.
  • Smart Drawdown (Instant Funding): Once a trader reaches a 5% profit milestone, the loss floor "locks" at 5% below that milestone balance. This protects the firm's capital while allowing the trader to continue, but it effectively shrinks the relative drawdown space as the account grows until the lock occurs.

Trading Rules and Prohibited Strategies

While Mubite allows for a variety of trading styles, it maintains strict prohibitions against what it deems "manipulative" or "non-representative" trading.

Permitted Practices

  • News Trading: Fully allowed. However, traders must be aware that the drawdown limits remain active, and crypto volatility during news can easily trigger the 3% max loss per trade rule.
  • Weekend and Overnight Holding: Since crypto markets are always open, holding positions through the weekend is standard practice and fully permitted.
  • Expert Advisors (EAs): Only self-developed bots are allowed. Traders must be able to prove ownership of the strategy. The use of public, commercial, or third-party "off-the-shelf" EAs is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Practices

  • Tick Scalping: Specifically, scalping performed with manipulative intent or to exploit technical execution conditions.
  • Arbitrage and HFT: Any form of latency arbitrage, gap exploitation, or high-frequency trading designed to manipulate the ByBit API is forbidden.
  • Hedging: Cross-account hedging (opening opposite positions on different accounts to "guarantee" a target) is a violation.
  • Account Management: Third-party management or signal services are not allowed. The account must be operated solely by the registered trader.

Payout Policies and Consistency Rules

The transition from a funded account to a liquid payout is governed by several logistical and performance-based hurdles.

Withdrawal Mechanics

  • Frequency: 14 days after the first trade (Instant) or 14 days after the previous payout (Evaluation).
  • Minimum Amounts: $35 for Instant Funding and $50 for One-Step/Two-Step.
  • Maximum Withdrawal Cap: This is a significant restriction—each payout request is capped at 5% of the account size. Any profit exceeding this 5% is not lost but must remain in the account to be requested in future payout cycles. This prevents rapid capital depletion and encourages long-term account growth.
  • Methods: Payouts are processed via Crypto or Bank Transfer, with no additional fees from the firm’s side.

Consistency Rule (Funded Stage Only)

To ensure that profits are not the result of a single "lucky" trade, Mubite enforces a Consistency Rule based on the trader's "Best Day":

  • Instant Funding: Best day must be less than 25% of total profit.
  • One-Step: Best day must be less than 30% of total profit.
  • Two-Step: Best day must be less than 40% of total profit.
  • Consequence: If a trader exceeds these thresholds, payouts are delayed until the trader performs more trades that bring the percentages back into compliance. It does not lead to account closure, but it significantly impacts liquidity for the trader.

Scaling and Growth Potential

Mubite offers a scaling plan for successful traders, though the mechanics differ by account type.

Scaling for Evaluation Accounts

After achieving a 10% cumulative profit within 90 days, the account size is increased by 25%. This process can continue until the account reaches twice its original starting size. This is a conservative scaling model focused on steady, long-term growth.

Scaling for Instant Funding

The Instant Funding scaling is more aggressive. After achieving 10% profit within 120 days, 5% is paid out to the trader, and the other 5% is used by the firm to double the account size. This can theoretically continue until the trader manages a total allocation of $1,000,000.

Customization and Add-ons

At the time of purchase, traders can modify their challenge parameters for an additional fee (usually a percentage of the base price):

  • Profit Split Increase: Moving from 80% to 90% (or 70% to 80% for Instant).
  • Target Reduction: Reducing the Phase 1 target from 10% to 8% (Two-Step only).
  • Drawdown Expansion: Adding an extra 2% to the maximum drawdown limit.
  • Minimum Days Removal: Eliminating the requirement for minimum trading days (Two-Step only).

Summary and Trader Considerations

Key Points to Consider

  • Crypto Specialization: The reliance on ByBit and the 100x leverage makes this a niche firm for crypto experts.
  • The 3% Rule: The max loss per trade rule is perhaps the most restrictive element, requiring a specific type of stop-loss management.
  • Withdrawal Caps: The 5% cap per withdrawal cycle means that even if a trader makes 20% in a month, they can only access 5% of the account balance every two weeks.
  • Consistency over Luck: The "Best Day" rule and the 0.25% P&L requirement for trading days ensure that only consistent traders receive payouts.

Ideal Trader Profile

Mubite is best suited for traders who:

  1. Focus exclusively on cryptocurrencies and are comfortable with the ByBit ecosystem.
  2. Value 24/7 market access and weekend trading.
  3. Have a disciplined risk management strategy that can operate within a 3% per-trade loss limit.
  4. Are looking for long-term capital growth rather than "get rich quick" scenarios, given the withdrawal caps and consistency rules.

Main Limitations

  • Withdrawal Liquidity: The 5% cap on withdrawal requests may be frustrating for high-performance traders who generate large profits quickly.
  • Platform Restriction: Traders are limited to the ByBit/Cleo environment, which may not offer the same tools as advanced forex platforms.
  • Cost of Instant Funding: While attractive, the high entry cost for Instant Funding represents a significant upfront risk for the trader.
