Alpha Capital Group has introduced Alpha Direct, a new funding plan designed for experienced traders looking to skip the evaluation process. Under this model, users become Qualified Analysts from day one, gaining direct access to a 90% profit split.
Risk Management and Drawdown
The Alpha Direct plan does not require a profit target to validate the account, but it enforces strict risk management limits:
- Max Daily Drawdown: 3% (calculated based on end-of-day balance or equity, whichever is higher).
- Max Total Drawdown: 5% (trailing based on the high-water mark).
The trailing drawdown stops moving once the account balance reaches a 5% profit. At that point, the loss limit locks at the initial starting balance and does not move further.
Leverage and Trading Limits
The firm offers different leverage levels depending on the asset class:
- Forex (FX): 1:30
- Metals: 1:9
- Indices and Oil: 1:10
Maximum Lot Exposure
Account size determines the maximum allowed lot exposure. For instance, a $25k account has a 10-lot limit, while a $100k account allows up to 40 lots. Violating this rule leads to progressive penalties: the first instance forfeits the profit from that position, and the second results in account deactivation.
Trading Rules and Payouts
News Trading and Weekend Holding
Trading during major news events is permitted, but there is a 5-minute restriction window before and after the announcement during which no trades can be opened or closed. Additionally, holding positions over the weekend is strictly prohibited.
Payout Structure and Profit Buffer
To request the first on-demand payout, traders must first build a 3% profit buffer. Once this buffer is established, any profits above it can be withdrawn, provided the minimum withdrawal is at least 1% of the initial balance.
Furthermore, the 15% Best Day Rule applies: no single trading day should contribute more than 15% of the total generated profits at the time of the payout request.
Technical Restrictions
It is important to note that Expert Advisors (EAs) are completely disabled on Alpha Direct accounts. The maximum capital allocation per user is $400,000 across all available plans within the firm.
