HalcyonTraderFunding Eliminates Payout Buffer and Reduces Prices by 10%

prop-firm drawdown pricing payouts

HalcyonTraderFunding has implemented significant changes to its Reward accounts, effective for all purchases made starting August 8, 2026. The most notable update is the complete removal of the mandatory buffer, alongside a general price reduction across its entire account range.

Buffer Elimination: Faster Access to Profits

The most critical change for traders is the removal of the buffer. Previously, to request a withdrawal, the account had to exceed a mandatory cushion calculated as the drawdown amount plus $100. This capital was locked and could not be withdrawn.

Under the new rules, traders only need to be above the initial account balance to be eligible for a reward. There is no longer a locked amount that must be built or maintained before the first withdrawal, allowing for much earlier access to earnings.

The +$100 Loss Limit Nuance

It is essential to understand that the +$100 rule is not disappearing but changing its timing.

  • Before: The loss limit was set at initial balance + $100 while building the buffer.
  • Now: The maximum loss limit is permanently set at initial balance + $100 automatically once the first reward is approved.

Price Reductions Across All Accounts

The firm has applied a discount of approximately 9-10% on its evaluation costs and reset fees. The new list prices for the most popular accounts are:

  • Lite Accounts: 25K drops to $117, 50K to $173, and 150K to $324.
  • Prime Accounts: 25K drops to $129, 50K to $205, and 150K to $358.

Operational Rules Remaining in Place

Despite these improvements in capital access, Halcyon maintains its consistency and risk management requirements:

  • Trading Days: 8 trading days are required before each reward request (the counter resets after each approved withdrawal).
  • Minimum Daily Profit: In 6 of those 8 days, a minimum of $100 (25K account), $200 (50K), or $350 (150K) must be reached.
  • Withdrawal Limits: The minimum per request is $250. The maximum is capped at 50% of profits, with limits of $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000 depending on account size.
  • 40% Consistency Rule: This rule remains active exclusively for Halcyon Prime accounts, while Lite accounts remain without a consistency rule.
  • Profit Split: The 90/10 split in favor of the trader remains unchanged.

Halcyon Cuts Reward Eligibility to Six Days Across All Accounts

Halcyon Trader Funding has updated the conditions of its futures trading programs by reducing the number of qualifying trading days required before a reward request. All Halcyon Reward Accounts now require six qualifying trading days, replacing the previous eight-day requirement. A trading day only qualifies when the account reaches the minimum daily profit established for its account size. The qualifying-day counter resets after an approved reward. Evaluation and Inactivity Period Updates Halcyon has also reduced the maximum evaluation period from 45 to 30 calendar days. Traders must now complete their evaluation within this timeframe. The inactivity limit for Reward Accounts remains unchanged at 30 days. The shorter evaluation deadline reflects how traders currently utilize the programs, according to internal data regarding account usage patterns.

Halcyon Launches Dynamic Accounts With Customizable Reward Options

Halcyon Trader Funding has launched Halcyon Dynamic, a new futures evaluation model that allows traders to configure their Reward Account after passing the evaluation phase. Initial Evaluation Details Every trader begins with a $50,000 evaluation. At purchase, they can choose between an intraday trailing drawdown evaluation for $47 or an end-of-day drawdown evaluation for $49. Both versions include a $3,000 profit target, a $2,000 maximum drawdown, a minimum of one trading day, and a maximum position size of five mini or 25 micro contracts. Reward Account Customization Once the evaluation is passed, traders can independently choose the parameters for their funded account: Account size: $50,000, $75,000, $100,000, or $150,000. Drawdown type: Intraday trailing or end-of-day. Consistency rule: A 40% consistency rule or no consistency rule. Payout and Operational Conditions Dynamic Reward Accounts offer a 90% profit split and do not include a daily loss limit. Traders become eligible for rewards after six qualifying trading days. The minimum profit required for a qualifying day and the maximum reward amount depend on the selected account size.
