Nexgen ProTrader Funding Announces Key Updates to Trading Rules and Payout Structure

Nexgen ProTrader Funding is pleased to announce a series of significant updates to its trading rules and payout structure, designed to offer greater flexibility and reward the consistency of its traders. These changes, implemented after receiving valuable community feedback, aim to optimize the trading experience and provide a clearer path to success. If you want a broader overview of the company, you can review our Nexgen ProTrader Funding review.

Key Updates to Trading Rules

Nexgen ProTrader Funding has made important adjustments to its policies to better meet the needs of modern traders and foster a more adaptable trading environment.

Reduced Payout Cycle

To provide traders with quicker access to their earnings, the payout cycle has been reduced from 8 to 7 days. This change will accelerate the withdrawal process, allowing for greater liquidity. This improvement also complements another recent Nexgen update: the integration of Rise Payouts for all withdrawals.

Implementation of End-of-Day (EOD) Drawdown

By popular demand, the End-of-Day (EOD) Drawdown has been implemented. This is a trailing loss limit calculated from your account balance at the end of each trading day.

  • As your account reaches new equity highs, the drawdown threshold will adjust upward.
  • It is crucial to note that this adjustment only occurs after the trading day ends.
  • Unrealized profits during the day will not increase your intraday drawdown limit.

Removal of Key Rules: DCA/MAE and High-Frequency Trading

In a move to offer greater operational freedom, Nexgen ProTrader Funding has removed two important rules:

  • DCA/MAE (Dollar-Cost Averaging / Maximum Adverse Excursion) Rule: Nexgen traders now have full flexibility to scale contracts as they see fit, provided they remain within the account’s defined risk tolerances. This change aims to optimize position management without penalizing scaling strategies.
  • High-Frequency Trading Rule: Understanding current market volatility, traders can now operate without fear that profits from shorter trades will be removed. The only expectation is that most trades average at least 10 ticks over time, not that every single trade meets this criterion.

Introduction of Daily Loss Limit (DLL)

For all semi-live accounts, a Daily Loss Limit (DLL) equivalent to 50% of the maximum drawdown has been introduced. This rule serves a dual purpose:

  • Trader Protection: It helps traders step back during difficult days, preventing significant damage to their accounts.
  • Firm Risk Management: It acts as a clear stopping point for accounts that Nexgen ProTrader Funding actively copies, effectively managing risk.

It is vital to understand that hitting the DLL will not result in account disqualification; instead, it will disable trading until the next session begins. This kind of update is also easier to evaluate through a risk management in funded trading lens.

Payout Optimization

The payout structure has been enhanced to recognize and reward consistent and long-term performance.

Payout Cap Doubling

A new payout cap doubling structure has been implemented. Your payout amount will double every 8 payouts per account, up to 4 times the original cap. This initiative is designed to reward traders who demonstrate consistency and sustained performance. If you want to compare this type of incentive with other firms, you can also review our list of scaling plans.

  • As your payout cap doubles, so will your daily loss limit allowance, enabling you to scale your trading account without altering the overall risk structure.

These changes reaffirm Nexgen ProTrader Funding's commitment to the success and evolution of its traders, providing tools and policies that support sustainable growth and increased operational flexibility.
