FundingPips has officially removed the 2%–3% risk-per-trade rule across all 2 Step Standard accounts. This update grants traders more flexibility, allowing them to manage their positions without the constraint of a fixed percentage cap per individual trade, moving against the current industry trend of increasing restrictions.
No more Hard Breaches for single trades
Under the previous rules, exceeding the risk limit on a single position resulted in a hard breach and immediate account closure. By removing this restriction, FundingPips eliminates a technical barrier, providing more freedom to execute strategies while maintaining the core evaluation structure.
Profit targets and remaining rules
The profit objectives for the 2 Step Standard model remain unchanged:
- Phase 1: 8% target.
- Phase 2: 5% target.
Traders should note that while the per-trade risk limit is gone, global risk parameters remain strictly enforced. The 5% daily loss limit and the 10% total drawdown are still in effect to ensure disciplined risk management.
Recent platform upgrades
This change is part of a broader strategy by the firm to simplify its ruleset. Recent updates include:
- Removal of subjective trading rules.
- Introduction of the Flex Family, featuring some of the industry's widest drawdown limits.
- Price reductions on 100K accounts.
- Elimination of risk limits on various Challenge models.
