Respect is the TheGodFunded currency: it stacks up and buys prop firm accounts in the shop. Points are a different thing: you cannot spend them, they only move you up the leaderboard below, which is what hands out the funded accounts.

  1. 1 You call today's close for Bitcoin.
  2. 2 Entries close a while before the real close.
  3. 3 At the Midnight UTC we compare with the real price.
  4. 4 Whoever missed by least gets paid. Over or under costs the same.

Overall leaderboard

Adds up points from all three contests. The monthly #1 takes the $5,000 account; 2nd to 10th enter the raffle for a $2,500 one.

    Everything you need to know

    The Bitcoin price prediction contest

Why midnight, and why every day

Bitcoin never closes: it trades all seven days of the year, holidays included. Since there is no closing bell, a moment has to be picked, and that moment is 00:00 UTC. It is the standard cut most platforms use to build the daily candle, so the number can be checked anywhere.

That has a practical consequence: this is the only one of the three contests that runs on weekends. If you are bored on a Saturday, there is a round here.

What makes Bitcoin different to predict

Bitcoin moves far more than gold or the Nasdaq. A quiet day in equities is half a percent; in Bitcoin, two or three percent is routine and five surprises nobody. On a five-figure price that is thousands of dollars between first place and fifth.

And watch the weekend: with less volume trading, a big move pushes price further than it would on a Tuesday. Saturdays and Sundays are when the winner pulls furthest ahead.

    How to sharpen your number

Because it is so volatile, nailing the decimal is worthless here: what decides it is getting the direction and the size right. Check how far it has moved over the last few hours on the chart to gauge the day’s range, and decide from there whether you expect continuation or a reversal.

    How it works

You pick a price and wait. At the close we compare your number with the real one and whoever missed by least wins, in absolute terms. Entries close a while before the real close, with a margin so nobody predicts with the price already made; until then you can change your number as often as you like.

    What you win

The big prize is monthly: whoever finishes first takes a $5,000 funded account from The Trading Pit, and 2nd to 10th enter the raffle for a $2,500 one: no account is promised, you enter the draw. Weekly segments pay 3000, 2000, 1000 Respect to the top three, and each daily podium takes 400 and 200.

Respect is the site currency: it stacks up and buys prop firm accounts in the shop. Points are a different thing: you cannot spend them, they only move you up the leaderboard, which is what hands out the accounts.
