NYCServers review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded2 min read

NYCServers (NewYorkCityServers) has rented trading VPS since 2012, located in the same data centres where many forex brokers' servers sit: NY4 in New York and LD4 in London, plus Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dublin. That way your orders travel a very short distance. The server arrives with your platform and broker pre-installed. The company is GreenHill Technologies Inc.

We read its plans page, its refund policy and 73 of its 77 Trustpilot reviews.

What it offers

  • Servers in NY4, LD4, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dublin, with a latency checker by broker to help you choose.
  • MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader, NinjaTrader and any Windows software, pre-installed with your broker.
  • Setup in seconds, a dedicated IP and a 100% uptime guarantee.
  • Dedicated servers for many accounts.
  • Some partner brokers give it free if you trade enough volume.

  • 14-day refund on VPS plans, requested through a ticket. Dedicated servers are non-refundable.

What users say

It scores 3.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 77 reviews. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

  • Until 2024: almost all praise for stability, latency around 1 ms and excellent support.
  • Since 2024: outages of 10 to 20 hours, disconnections, servers delivered late and slower support. That is why its score has dropped.

For prop firms

If you use EAs or a copier on MetaTrader or cTrader that must run with your computer off:

  1. Ask your firm whether it allows trading from a VPS. Some monitor which IP you connect from.
  2. Check whether it allows automation: in our profiles, 21 of 85 forbid it and 18 limit it.
  3. Use its latency checker with your firm's server to choose a location.

Verdict

NYCServers has excellent forex locations and low prices, and for years it was one of the best-rated VPS. The long outages of recent years are a concern if you rely on it for an EA, so test it within the 14-day refund window.

Who it is for: forex traders with EAs who want to sit next to their broker's server for little money.

Who it is not for: anyone who cannot afford a single long outage, or anyone needing servers next to the CME in Chicago.

What people say about NYCServers on Trustpilot

We read 73 of its 77 reviews (almost all published reviews), on 9 October 2026.

3.1 Trustpilot score
3.7 Based on what they say
Features 4.0

Servers in the data centres where brokers sit (NY4, LD4 and others), with latency around 1 ms that several confirm. The small plans have little memory.

See review
★★★★★“it is confirmed that they reach a latency of 1ms as advertised.”
Reliability 3.4

For years users praised its stability. Since 2024 there are outages of 10 to 20 hours, constant disconnections and servers shutting down on their own.

See review
★★★★★“The VPS connection has been down for more than 20 hours and still not fixed!”
Value for money 3.6

Good value for most. There is a complaint about a charge after cancelling, and some brokers give it free if you trade enough volume.

Ease of use 4.3

The server arrives with the platform and broker pre-installed, and many beginners appreciate the help setting up their robot. There are cases of servers taking hours to be delivered.

See review
★★★★★“it was my first time using a VPS and support helped me setup my robot.”
Support 3.6

Older reviews rave about it. Recent ones describe chats unanswered for hours and open tickets left unresolved.

Transparency 3.5

It publishes prices, latency by broker and its refund policy. It barely replies on Trustpilot, and its score has dropped due to recent complaints.
