Alpha Capital Group Retires Standard Risk Group and Introduces Focused Trader Group

Alpha has announced the permanent retirement of the Standard Risk Group following a comprehensive review of its risk management framework. This move removes the blanket restrictions previously applied to accounts under this label, restoring original trading conditions for all affected profiles. Restoration of Trading Conditions With the removal of this category, accounts that were previously capped have had their standard parameters reinstated automatically: Leverage: Restored to the standard leverage levels for each specific plan. Lot Exposure: Maximum lot limits have returned to the standard levels based on account size and plan. New Targeted Approach: Focused Trader Group The firm has replaced the old system with the Focused Trader Group. Unlike the previous broad label, this group is more targeted and only applies to accounts demonstrating specific trading patterns, including: Extreme scalping. "All-or-nothing" position sizing. Excessive lot usage relative to account size. Review and Exit Process Placement in this group is temporary. Traders can request a discretionary, case-by-case review by the Risk team once their account meets the required criteria. Requests for review should be sent directly to risk@alphacapitalgroup.uk.

Alpha Capital Group Expands Alpha One Program with New 6% and 12% Evaluation Plans

Alpha Capital Group has announced the expansion of its Alpha One 1-step evaluation program, introducing two new variants alongside the original 10% option. Traders can now choose between 6%, 10%, and 12% profit targets, allowing them to match the plan to their specific risk profile and strategy. Pricing for these evaluations starts at $37. Alpha One Plan Breakdown The structure of the three plans is primarily distinguished by their profit targets and loss limits: Alpha One 6%: 6% profit target, 4% max trailing drawdown, and 3% daily drawdown (4% on Qualified accounts). Alpha One 10%: 10% profit target, 6% max trailing drawdown, and 4% daily drawdown. Alpha One 12%: 12% profit target, 8% max trailing drawdown, and 5% daily drawdown. All plans require a minimum of 1 trading day to complete the evaluation. While the 6% and 10% plans are available for account sizes up to $200,000, the 12% variant is capped at $100,000. Drawdown Management and Risk Rules The maximum drawdown is calculated on a trailing basis based on the High Water-Mark (the highest balance achieved). This limit moves upward with profits until the drawdown reaches the initial account balance, at which point it becomes static. Lot Exposure Limits The firm enforces a strict maximum lot exposure policy based on account size: $5k: Max 2.5 lots $50k: Max 20 lots $100k: Max 40 lots $300k: Max 120 lots Violations of these limits result in penalties: on the first instance, performance fees earned through excess lot sizes will not be eligible for withdrawal; a second instance will lead to account deactivation. Trading Conditions and Leverage Alpha One plans maintain flexible conditions for active traders, including weekend holding and on-demand performance fee payouts. Leverage is set according to asset class: Forex (FX): 1:30 Metals: 1:9 Indices and Oil: 1:10 Regarding news trading, it is permitted; however, there is a 5-minute restriction before and after major news events. During this window, traders are not allowed to execute new trades or close existing positions on the targeted instruments.
