GoatFundedTrader (GFT) has announced the implementation of a new functionality called Account Resets, designed to allow traders to maintain their progress despite breaching risk management or drawdown rules. This measure eliminates the need to restart the evaluation process from the very beginning after an operational error.
How the Reset System Works
The new tool allows users to restore their accounts at specific points in their journey, preventing the loss of weeks or months of accumulated work. Resets are available for the following stages:
- Phase 1: Ability to reset the challenge after a rule breach.
- Phase 2: If a trader fails the second phase after passing the first, they can reset directly in Phase 2 without going back to the start of the process.
- Funded Accounts: Traders who hit the drawdown limit on a live account can opt for a reset to maintain their funded status without being permanently disqualified.
Access and Management via Dashboard
This feature is managed autonomously directly from the platform's Trader Dashboard. The option is enabled for all users who need to restore their account after a negative streak or a breach of the risk parameters established by the firm.
Technical Details
Traders interested in using this tool can find specific details regarding the terms of use in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section of the official GFT website.
