Rise review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded4 min read

Rise is not a tool you choose: it is the platform your firm pays you through. If your firm uses Rise, when you request a payout you will receive an invitation to open a Rise account, verify your identity and, from there, withdraw the money to your bank or a crypto wallet.

According to the payout methods we keep in our firm profiles, 37 of the firms we cover pay through Rise, including FundingPips, The5ers, E8 Markets, FXIFY, Maven and FunderPro. That is why it is worth knowing how it works before your first payout.

We read its entire help center (194 articles) and 659 of its 8,037 Trustpilot reviews, 160 of them written by prop firm traders.

Who is behind it

Rise Works Inc. is a US company registered as a money services business with FinCEN, the US Treasury's anti-money-laundering agency, and licensed in 24 states. It runs on blockchain technology: your balance is held in USDC, a dollar stablecoin.

What its own help center makes clear:

  • It is not a bank. Your balance has no deposit insurance.
  • It is not a wallet or a savings account. It only receives payments from companies; you cannot deposit money yourself.
  • You can have a personal or business account, useful if you get paid through your own company.

How you collect a payout with Rise

  1. Your firm sends you an email invitation.
  2. You open the account and sign its services agreement.
  3. You verify your identity with a live photo of your document. It does not accept scans, copies or PDFs.
  4. You create your login key (passkey or security key).
  5. The firm pays you and the money appears in your balance.
  6. You add your bank or wallet and withdraw.

Withdrawal fees

Destination Fee Time
US bank Free Same day to 2 business days
Bank in your local currency $10 1 or 2 business days
International dollar transfer (SWIFT) $20 or $25 3 to 5 business days
USDC (Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Polygon) $2.50 Depends on the network
USDC (Arbitrum) $2.90 Depends on the network
USDT (Tron, Solana and others) Shown before you confirm Depends on the network

Two details:

  • Its help center gives two different figures for international transfers: $25 in the fees article and $20 in the fee coverage article.
  • Some firms pay the withdrawal fee for you. Rise lets the paying company cover it. Ask your firm.

On an international transfer, your bank or intermediary banks may charge separately.

Where you can use it

Almost worldwide. Rise does not support about 25 countries due to sanctions, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Haiti, Syria and Myanmar, as well as Puerto Rico. People from those countries living elsewhere can use it with documents from their country of residence. In some US states it does not allow crypto transactions.

Rise Earn

Rise offers to move part of your USDC balance to Aave, a crypto lending protocol, to earn interest. It keeps 1% of the interest. Its help center warns there is no deposit insurance and that the risk lies in USDC itself and in the protocol's code.

What users say

Rise scores 4.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 8,037 reviews, with no alerts. But the company invites reviews, and almost half of those we read arrive through that invitation, nearly all positive. Spontaneous reviews tell a different story. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

  • When it works, it is very fast. Money arrives within minutes and there are many ways to withdraw.
  • The new version of Rise locks out older users. It asks for a security key (RSK) many never created, and without it they cannot withdraw. It is the top complaint of 2026.
  • Verifications rejected without explanation, even for traders who have passed those of several brokers and banks.
  • Slow support: a chat bot and emails that take days.
  • Withdrawals stuck for weeks, in some cases months.

Half of the prop firm traders' reviews we read are 1 star.

How to avoid problems

  1. Open and verify your account before your first payout, not on the day you need it.
  2. Follow its document requirements to the letter: a live photo of your ID, with all four corners visible. One user says uploading a screenshot of their bank statement reset their verification.
  3. Create your passkey and store the security key as soon as you open the account.
  4. If you are an older user, log in now and complete the move to the new version before requesting a payout.
  5. Use the same name as with your firm and your bank. Rise does not let you change your name or email after verification.
  6. Withdraw as soon as it arrives. Rise is not an account for holding money.
  7. Pick the cheapest route: if you have a dollar account, a local transfer; if you use crypto, USDC on a cheap network.

Verdict

Rise is the most common payout route among the firms we cover, and when everything is in order it delivers: money within minutes and low fees. The problem is lockouts: rejected verifications, the new version's security key and support that takes days to reply.

Since you do not choose it, the best thing you can do is set it up in advance.

Alternatives

If your firm lets you choose, you can get paid directly in crypto and cash out to euros through an exchange like Kraken, or by transfer to an account like Wise or Revolut.

Review analysis

What people say about Rise on Trustpilot

We read 659 of its 8037 reviews (the 200 most recent plus the 200 most recent of each 1 to 4 star rating, so the sample is more critical than the full page. 160 are written by prop firm traders), on 9 October 2026.

4.3 Trustpilot score
3.1 Based on what they say
Features 4.0

Many ways to withdraw: US bank, international dollar transfer, local currency or USDC and USDT on several networks. It allows personal and business accounts, useful if you get paid through your own company.

See review
★★★★★“they have deep compliance and allow both personal and business accounts, so if you’re a trader with your own LLC, here’s where you want payouts sent”
Reliability 3.0

Once the account is verified, money usually arrives within minutes or hours, and that is what is praised most. But in 2026 cases of withdrawals stuck for weeks, some for months, are piling up, with replies saying the finance team is reviewing it.

See 2 reviews
★★★★★“the funds literally arrive to your account in minutes and they offer plenty of withdrawal options”
★★★★★“approved for a new payout at around 1400$. Waiting for almost 5 Weeks now”
Value for money 3.8

Receiving is free for the trader. Withdrawing is cheap: free to a US bank, $10 in local currency, $20 to $25 for an international transfer and around $2.50 in USDC. Some firms cover that fee for you.

Ease of use 2.6

The big 2026 problem is the move to the new version of Rise: it asks for a security key (RSK) many older users never created, and they get locked out of withdrawals. On top of that, identity verifications are rejected without explanation.

See 2 reviews
★★★★★“since version 2 has rolled out they have added a RSK password which wasn't set up in V1 so it simply doesn't exist but they still ask for it”
★★★★★“I have passed multiple KYC verifications in the last few years with brokers [...] YET rise is the ONLY one to deny my verification”
Support 1.9

The most repeated complaint: a bot chat, emails unanswered for days and no way to talk to a person. Two in three negative reviews mention it.

See review
★★★★★“Nobody is answering my emails, i have been stuck for more than 7 business days waiting for my money”
Transparency 3.4

It publishes its US registrations, fees and country list. But its own articles give two different figures for international transfers, and it does not explain why verifications are rejected.

Mixed · 3

It replies to 514 of the 659 reviews we read, usually asking you to answer an information request so it can review the account.

Can you trust these reviews?

The company invites reviews, and almost half of those we read arrive through its automated invitation, mostly 4 and 5 stars. That explains why the overall score, 4.3, is much better than what spontaneous reviews describe.
