Sierra Chart review
Sierra Chart is a futures charting and trading platform known for being the most stable and fastest. Many veteran traders and scalpers use it. In return, it looks dated and takes effort to learn.
We read its packages and pricing page, its data and trading services list, and almost all of its Trustpilot reviews (22 of 25).
What it offers
- Highly configurable charts, with market depth and order flow tools.
- Market replay to practise with past data.
- Custom studies programmed in C++ (ACSIL), plus many third-party ones.
- Unlimited simulated trading included.
- Runs on Windows.
Connecting your prop firm account
Sierra Chart connects to Rithmic, CQG and Interactive Brokers, plus its own futures order routing service (Teton). If your firm gives you a Rithmic or CQG account, you can trade it from Sierra Chart.
But note: the base packages (3 and 5) do not connect to external services. To use your prop firm account you need an Integrated package (10, 11 or 12), from $36 a month.

Verdict
Sierra Chart is probably the most solid futures platform for a trader serious about order flow and scalping, at a reasonable price. But it is not for beginners or anyone wanting something pretty and easy, and to use it with your prop firm you need the integrated package.
Who it is for: futures traders on Windows with a Rithmic or CQG account who want stability and serious order flow.
Who it is not for: beginners, Mac users or anyone trading forex on MetaTrader.
