TradingView is the most used charting platform in the world: it runs in the browser, on desktop and on mobile, and millions of traders use it to analyse, draw levels and set alerts. Many also use it to trade straight from its charts by connecting their broker.
We read its pricing page, its integrated broker list, its official blog post on the footprint chart and 415 of its 1,351 Trustpilot reviews.
TradingView lets you connect integrated brokers and trade from the chart. Among them, the most useful for futures and forex traders are Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, AMP Futures, OANDA, FOREX.com, Pepperstone, Capital.com and Eightcap.
If your prop firm gives you an account on one of these platforms, such as Tradovate, check your firm's terms to see whether it allows connecting it to TradingView. Not all of them do.
Data is free for many markets, but real-time CME futures and some exchange data cost extra, on top of the plan. If you trade futures, include it in your budget.

For most prop firm traders, Essential or Plus is enough. Premium only pays off if you want the footprint or many charts at once.
TradingView scores 1.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 1,351 reviews, and Trustpilot shows a fabricated reviews warning on its page. The score mainly reflects unhappy users who go there to complain, not the millions who use it without problems. Our review analysis above breaks it down.
TradingView is still the best charting platform for almost any trader: comfortable, complete and with a useful free plan. Its problems are on the commercial side: surprising charges, support that is hard to reach and extras that cost more.
Who it is for: any trader who wants to analyse and set alerts with the best charts on the market.
Who it is not for: anyone needing fast support, or advanced order flow tools without paying for Premium.
We read 415 of its 1351 reviews (the 200 most recent plus the most recent 1 to 4 star reviews. trustpilot shows a fabricated reviews warning on its page), on 9 October 2026.
Over 400 built-in indicators and 100,000+ community ones, Pine Script to build your own, Bar Replay, alerts and trading from the chart with integrated brokers. Backtesting is criticised as slow.
★★★★★“Overall, it's a nice platform, but the backtesting tool is unusable.”
Millions of traders use it daily, but 2026 criticism mentions charts slow to load during volatility, data delays and alerts slow to register.
★★★★★“Gotta reload the page every minute or two to get charts to load, sync issues between devices, it takes 45 seconds for a new alert to register”
The most repeated complaint: unexpected charges and renewals, difficult refunds and features moved behind a paywall. Plans range from $12.95 to $199.95 a month billed yearly, and real-time futures data costs extra.
★★★★★“TradingView suddenly removed access to FRED data which is available for free, and put an additional paywall without prior notice”
It remains the benchmark for how comfortable its charts are on web, desktop and mobile. Constant prompts to upgrade and buy extras are annoying.
★★★★★“every single one of them has a pop-up telling me use Co-Pilot. For $7.50 a month. I cannot remove it.”
Four in ten negative reviews complain about support: a chatbot loop and nobody to write to, even on the Premium plan.
★★★★★“Premium subscriber stuck in a support chatbot loop”
It publishes its plans in great detail. But Trustpilot shows a fabricated reviews warning on its page, and reviews repeatedly complain about accounts blocked or muted in the community chat.
It replies to 63 of the 415 reviews we read.
