What you are signing up for
A prop firm evaluation is a test where you pay a fee to trade with virtual money. If you reach a profit target—a specific amount of gain you must achieve—without breaking any rules, the firm gives you access to a funded account where you keep a percentage of the real profits.
Hypernova and Mubite offer different entry points:
- Hypernova is very accessible. Its smallest Precision account (5K) costs only $25.
- Mubite is more expensive to start. Its 5K Two-Step account costs $65, and its Instant Funding (where you skip the test) starts at $79 for a very small 1.25K account.
Both firms offer a free trial. This is a demo account with no cost that allows you to practice their platform and rules before risking your money. Hypernova has a standard trial, while Mubite offers a 100K trial for 7 days that gives you a 20% discount if you pass it.
How hard each one is
The main difficulty lies in the drawdown, which is the maximum loss you are allowed to have before your account is closed.
- Hypernova uses a "static floor." This means your loss limit is fixed based on your starting balance and does not move up as you make profit. They also have a daily drawdown, which is a loss limit that resets every day at midnight based on your balance at that time.
- Mubite has different rules depending on the plan. In their Instant Funding, they use "Smart Drawdown," where the loss limit follows your account growth until it locks at your starting balance. They also have a strict "3% rule": no single trade can lose more than 3% of your account value.
How long it takes
In the past, firms forced you to reach your goal in 30 days. Both Hypernova and Mubite have removed this maximum time limit, so you can trade calmly.
However, they differ in minimum trading days, which is the number of separate days you must place at least one trade:
- Hypernova has no minimum trading days. You could pass the evaluation in a single day if you hit the target.
- Mubite requires 10 trading days for their One-Step and Two-Step evaluations. On these days, your profit or loss must be at least 0.25% of the account size to count.
Where beginners fail
Beginners usually fail because they do not understand the margin of error.
At Hypernova, the risk is simple: if you touch the drawdown limit, you are out. There is no second chance unless you buy a new account.
At Mubite, beginners often fail due to the "3% per trade" rule or the "consistency rule." The consistency rule means that no single day can account for too much of your total profit (for example, 30% in One-Step). If you have one "lucky" day that makes all your money, Mubite will make you keep trading until your other days balance it out before you can withdraw.
What happens if you make it
Once you are funded, you want to receive your "payout," which is your share of the profits.
- Hypernova: You can request your money 24/7 on demand. They pay in USDC (a digital currency tied to the dollar) via the Arbitrum network, and the money arrives in seconds. They take 20% of the profit, and you keep 80%.
- Mubite: The first payout is on demand, but then you must wait 14 days between withdrawals. They also limit each withdrawal to 5% of the account size. If you have more profit, it stays in the account for next time. You keep between 70% and 80% usually.
Hypernova uses its own platform. Mubite uses ByBit or Cleo, which are more standard for crypto traders.
If it is your first time
For a complete beginner, Hypernova is the better choice. It is significantly cheaper to start ($25 vs $65), the rules are much simpler to follow without hidden consistency math, and you can withdraw your profits instantly without waiting 14 days or dealing with 5% withdrawal caps. Mubite is a solid option only if you specifically want to trade on ByBit or if you are willing to pay more for "Instant Funding" to skip the evaluation phase entirely.
Frequently asked questions
Which firm is cheaper to start an evaluation, Hypernova or Mubite?
Hypernova is the cheaper option for beginners. You can start a 5K Precision account for just $25. In comparison, the cheapest evaluation account at Mubite is the 5K Two-Step, which costs $65. This makes Hypernova more than 50% more affordable for your first attempt.
Does Hypernova or Mubite offer a better withdrawal system?
Hypernova offers a more flexible system with on-demand payouts available 24/7 and no minimum waiting period once you are in profit. Mubite requires a 14-day wait between withdrawals after the first one and caps each request at 5% of the total account size, which can slow down your access to large profits.
Which firm allows more diverse assets to trade, Hypernova or Mubite?
Hypernova is much more diverse, offering Crypto, Stocks, ETFs, Commodities, Indices, and Forex. Mubite is strictly focused on Crypto. If you want to trade anything other than digital currencies, Hypernova is the only choice between the two.
Between Hypernova and Mubite, which one is more restrictive with trading robots (EAs)?
Both have similar restrictions, but Mubite is slightly more demanding. Hypernova allows self-built bots as long as they are not third-party signals. Mubite also allows self-developed bots but requires you to prove you own the strategy if asked, and their Cleo platform does not currently support external automated bots.
