Fair play rules
What is not allowed, and what happens if someone breaks the rules.
The Family and the contests only work if everyone plays fair. These rules protect the people who do.
One person, one account
You cannot create or control more than one account, sign up with someone else’s details or ask others to open accounts for you.
Not allowed
- Using several accounts to get more Respect, entries or prizes.
- Inviting your own accounts, or accounts created only to be invited.
- Trading invitations, reviews or proofs with other users.
- Uploading false, edited or reused proofs.
- Writing reviews about firms you have not traded with, or reviews you were paid for.
- Mass produced content or any trick to collect points without the real activity the reward is meant for.
What we check
We use automatic checks to spot abuse: brand new accounts, several accounts from the same connection, repeated images or near identical texts. These checks never punish anyone on their own. A person on our team always reviews the case.
What can happen
Depending on how serious it is:
- The Respect obtained this way is cancelled.
- Exclusion from contests and leaderboards.
- Temporary suspension or permanent removal of all the accounts involved.
- Rewards already redeemed with that Respect can be reversed.
While we investigate, access to The Family can be paused.
