How moderation works
How we check reviews, and what firms can and cannot do.
Every review is checked by a person
We do not auto publish. Our team checks:
- That the purchase proof is genuine and matches the firm.
- That the text reads like someone who really used the service.
- That there is no personal data of third parties, threats, defamation, hate speech, spam or content unrelated to the firm.
If a review does not pass, we contact the author when possible, explain why and give them the chance to fix it.
We also run automatic checks to catch fake reviews, such as brand new accounts, reviews sent from the same connection or images that were already used. These checks never reject a review on their own. They only help our team look closer.
What firms can do
- Reply publicly to any review of their profile. The reply appears right under the review, signed by the firm.
- Report a review as fake. This is only for fake reviews: the author never traded with them, the proof was manipulated, a false identity or an organised smear campaign. Our team reviews every report. If the review is genuine, it stays.
- Encourage their clients to leave honest reviews.
What firms cannot do
- Offer any benefit in exchange for a review: discounts, refunds, free accounts, payments, gifts or preferential treatment.
- Remove or edit reviews they do not like. Disagreeing with an opinion is answered with a public reply, not with a report.
When we detect an incentivised review, we remove it and may take action against the firm.
The full rules are in our Reviews Policy.
