Top One Trader Launches "1-Step Amped" Program with 1:150 Leverage and No Consistency Rule
Top One Trader (TOT) has announced the launch of its new funding program, the "1-Step Amped." This single-phase evaluation model aims to offer traders a faster path to funding, directly addressing community demand for a more agile alternative to the popular "2-Step Amped" program. Key Features of the 1-Step Amped Program The "1-Step Amped" program is designed for traders seeking a simplified evaluation without compromising trading conditions or risk management. Simplified Evaluation Process Single Phase: Unlike other programs, the "1-Step Amped" requires traders to pass only one evaluation phase to qualify for a funded account. No Consistency Rule: A significant feature is the absence of the consistency rule, allowing traders to operate without restrictions on the uniformity of their trades—a factor the firm identifies as a common hurdle for genuine trading styles. High Leverage and Flexibility Industry-Leading Leverage: The program offers 1:150 leverage for FX pairs, positioning it among the highest in the industry. Other leverage ratios include 1:30 for indices and metals, and 1:2 for cryptocurrencies. Scalable Capital: Successful traders can access capital allocation of up to $300,000. Risk Management and Specific Rules The program implements clear risk controls to ensure prudent capital management, both in the evaluation phase and on funded accounts. Profit Target (Phase 1): Traders must achieve a 10% profit target in the evaluation phase. Once funded, there is no profit target. Maximum Drawdown: A 7% trailing maximum drawdown applies to both Phase 1 and funded accounts. This drawdown adjusts with the highest closed balance reached and locks at the starting balance once a threshold is reached. Daily Drawdown: A 3% daily drawdown limit is a hard breach rule; any violation will result in account termination. Minimum Trading Days: Phase 1: 5 trading days with at least 0.5% profit. Funded Account: 5 trading days with at least 1% profit to be eligible for payouts. Per Trade Risk Control: Maximum open risk per trade: 2%. Maximum combined floating drawdown: 2.5%. Violations are considered "soft breaches," with a maximum of 5 allowed per account. Trading Restrictions (Funded Account): News trading is not allowed. Weekend holding is not allowed. Expert Advisors (EAs) are not allowed (only permitted during the challenge phase). Inactivity Limit: If no trades are placed for 30 consecutive days, the account may be considered inactive and closed. Profit Split and Payouts Profit Split: Traders on funded accounts receive an 80% profit split. Payout Frequency: Payouts are processed bi-weekly. Minimum Withdrawal: A minimum of 2% of the initial balance is required to withdraw funds. Lock Upon Payout (LUP): Applies after each withdrawal, meaning the drawdown level resets to the account's starting balance after a withdrawal. Monthly Withdrawal Cap: A cap of $10,000 per 30 days is set, with specific limits based on account size (e.g., $500 for a $5K account, $6,000 for a $200K account). Limited Opportunity Window Top One Trader has indicated that this is a limited launch, and registrations for the "1-Step Amped" program will close on April 30th. Interested traders are urged to thoroughly review the complete rules before purchasing the program.
Top One Trader launches 2-Step Amped: up to 150:1 leverage and unrestricted news trading
Top One Trader unveils its new program: 2-Step Amped Top One Trader has just launched its most aggressive program to date: the 2-Step Amped. This new two-phase evaluation model is designed for traders who want higher leverage and more flexible trading conditions, without sacrificing the risk management framework the company is known for. This addition significantly expands Top One Trader's lineup, which already includes the One Step, Two Step, Instant Funding, and Instant Prime programs. The 2-Step Amped positions itself as the most powerful option for experienced traders who want to operate with greater margin. Up to 150:1 leverage on Forex The most striking feature of the 2-Step Amped is undoubtedly its leverage. While the standard Two Step offers 50:1 on forex during evaluation, the Amped raises this to 150:1 across all phases, including the funded stage. The full leverage breakdown is: Forex: 150:1 (all phases) Indices: 30:1 (all phases) Metals: 30:1 (all phases) Crypto: 2:1 (all phases) This makes it one of the highest-leverage programs in the prop trading firm market. To put this in perspective, firms like FTMO or FundedNext typically offer considerably lower leverage in their standard programs. Evaluation structure The program maintains a classic two-phase structure: Phase 1 Profit target: 8% Max drawdown: 10% (trailing) Daily drawdown: 5% (hard breach) Minimum trading days: 3 profitable days with at least 0.5% profit each No consistency rule Phase 2 Profit target: 5% Max drawdown: 10% (trailing) Daily drawdown: 5% (hard breach) Minimum trading days: 3 profitable days with at least 0.5% profit each No consistency rule Funded Stage No profit target Max drawdown: 8% (trailing, locks upon payout) Daily drawdown: 4% (hard breach) Consistency rule: 30% ESS (Equity Stability Score) No minimum trading days News trading and weekend holding: no restrictions One of the most notable advantages of the 2-Step Amped over other Top One Trader programs is that it allows news trading and weekend holding in all phases, including the funded account. In contrast, the standard Two Step does not allow news trading on funded accounts, and programs like Instant Funding require add-ons for these features. This is a significant advantage for traders who operate with macroeconomic event-based strategies or prefer not to close positions before the weekend. To better understand how news affects trading, check out our blog where we regularly cover these topics. Expert Advisors: allowed during evaluation Another differentiating factor is that the 2-Step Amped allows the use of Expert Advisors (EAs) during evaluation phases (Phase 1 and Phase 2). However, they are not allowed on funded accounts. This contrasts with other Top One Trader programs where EAs are not allowed at any stage. Risk system: EquityShield and Soft Breaches The program implements the same EquityShield system present in other Top One Trader programs: Per trade limit: Automatic closure if floating loss on a single symbol reaches 2% of starting balance Combined limit: Automatic closure if total floating drawdown reaches 2.5% of starting balance During evaluation, these triggers are treated as soft breaches. On funded accounts, they trigger a daily pause that lifts at 5 PM EST. Each phase allows a maximum of 5 soft breaches. The sixth breach becomes a hard breach and the trader loses the account. Payouts and profit split The 2-Step Amped payout conditions are competitive: Profit split: 80% standard, with 90% or 100% available via add-ons Payout frequency: Bi-weekly, with on-demand payouts available via add-on Minimum withdrawal: 2% of account balance Withdrawal cap: $10,000 per 30 days (after scaling) The program includes the Lock Upon Payout system: when requesting a payout, the trailing drawdown locks at the starting balance and stops trailing account growth. Commissions 2-Step Amped commissions are $2.50 per side ($5 per lot round trip) across all instruments. This is slightly higher than what some platforms offer in other Top One Trader programs ($4/lot on Match Trader and cTrader). Maximum allocation and scaling The maximum funded capital allocation is $300,000, the same as other Top One Trader programs. The scaling system remains the same: every quarter you can request a 25% increase if you meet profitability requirements. If you're looking to compare different prop trading firms to find the one that best suits your trading style, you can explore our complete directory or our curated lists with the best options based on different criteria. Available platforms The 2-Step Amped is available on all Top One Trader platforms: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, DXTrade, MatchTrader, and TradingView. Who is the 2-Step Amped for? This program is ideal for traders who: Want high leverage (150:1 on forex) Want to trade news without restrictions Prefer to hold positions over the weekend Want to use EAs during evaluation Don't want consistency rules during evaluation phases Are willing to accept a stricter trailing drawdown on the funded stage (8%) You can check all the detailed information on the Top One Trader page on our platform, including challenge prices, comparisons with other firms, and reviews from other traders.
Top One Trader Relaxes Two-Step Plus Plan Rules by Removing Key Restriction
Top One Trader has announced a permanent relaxation of conditions for its Two-Step Plus plan. The firm has removed the '1% Max Open Risk' rule, which previously limited the total unrealized loss across all open positions to 1% of the starting balance. This modification aims to provide greater flexibility for traders. The Two-Step Plus plan now features no 1% Max Open Risk rule, no consistency rule, and allows trades to be held over the weekend. This decision goes against the current trend of other prop firms tightening their restrictions. Additionally, Top One Trader's St. Patrick's Day promotion remains active for a limited time, offering discounts of up to 77.7% on the Two-Step Plus plan. The rule change is permanent, while the promotional offer is temporary. The firm previously introduced the 2-Step Plus account with these distinct features.
Top One Trader Announces Key Updates: Account Resets, Profit Cap, and Breach Rule
Top One Trader has announced a series of significant updates to several account types, taking effect for new accounts purchased after Friday, March 13th, at 5:00 PM EST. These changes are designed to enhance trader flexibility while maintaining robust risk management across the platform. Account Resets Introduced: Reset options are now available for both 1-Step Flash (challenge and funded) and 2-Step Plus (challenge and funded) accounts. This feature allows traders to restart their progress after a breach or for a fresh start, eliminating the need to purchase an entirely new account. This functionality applies to accounts purchased after the aforementioned effective date. Daily Profit Cap for Flash Funded Accounts: A new maximum daily profit rule of 3% has been implemented for 1-Step Flash funded accounts. If this daily profit threshold is reached, the account will be temporarily paused until the next trading day. This measure aims to promote sustainable trading practices and balanced risk management. Updated Soft Breach Rule for Instant PRIME: The soft breach limit for Instant PRIME funded accounts has been adjusted, reducing the threshold from 10 to 5. This change refines the risk management parameters for this specific account type. Top One Trader emphasizes its commitment to continuously improving the trading experience through fair and transparent rules. Traders are encouraged to consult the company's help center for detailed information on these updates.
