Our review

ATAS review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded2 min read

ATAS is a volume and order flow analysis platform very popular with futures traders: clusters and footprint, liquidity heatmap, DOM and volume profile in a single tool. Its new version, ATAS X, runs on Windows and Mac.

We read its pricing page, its broker connections guide and 205 of its 451 Trustpilot reviews.

What it offers

  • Clusters and footprint to see volume bought and sold at each price.
  • Liquidity heatmap, synced with the chart and DOM.
  • Volume profile, big trades and noise filters.
  • Risk manager and cross-trading (analyse the E-mini, execute on the Micro).
  • Market replay and a copier between accounts.
  • Options analysis (levels, open interest and gamma) on the futures chart.

Connecting your prop firm account

ATAS connects to Rithmic and CQG, plus CTS and TT. Its help center has guides for connecting prop firm accounts through Rithmic, for example Phidias. With CQG, if your account does not have ATAS enabled, you must ask the broker. We did not find Tradovate among its connections.

Most important: the Start and Plus plans do not connect real-time futures, only with a 15-minute delay. To trade your prop firm account you need Pro or Ultra.

For a prop firm trader, the logical option is Pro paid yearly (€39.95 a month). Paid plans have a 14-day trial, and a refund is available within 14 days of the first purchase.

What users say

ATAS scores 4 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 451 reviews, and Trustpilot shows a high-risk investment notice. Seven in ten of those we read arrive through direct links. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

  • What people like: all the volume tools in a light, fast platform, and constant improvements.
  • Updates that break things: the most repeated 2026 complaint, with indicators, stops and orders misbehaving and more lag in copiers.
  • Very divided on support: excellent for some, nonexistent for others.
  • Lifetime licences: some older customers complain that new perks are only for new ones.

Verdict

ATAS is one of the most complete order flow platforms, reasonably priced when paid yearly and connected to Rithmic and CQG. But to use it with your prop firm you need the Pro plan, and the 2026 updates have caused problems.

Who it is for: futures traders with a Rithmic or CQG account who want footprint, heatmap and DOM in one place.

Who it is not for: anyone trading on Tradovate, or wanting real-time futures on a small budget.
