Bookmap review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded2 min read

Bookmap is the benchmark tool for viewing the liquidity heatmap: it shows where resting orders sit in the book over time, so you can see how liquidity moves around the price. It adds footprint, delta, an advanced DOM and many add-ons.

We read its pricing page, its connections guide, its system requirements and 283 of its 604 Trustpilot reviews.

What it offers

  • Heatmap of market depth.
  • Add-ons: footprint, cumulative delta, large trade alerts, absorption, sweeps, DOM Pro and more. Many cost extra or come with higher plans.
  • Trading from the chart or DOM and real-time simulated trading.
  • Replay mode to practise with past data.
  • Runs on Windows and Mac, though some connections are Windows only.

Connecting your prop firm account

Its connections guide includes Rithmic, CQG, Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Interactive Brokers, among others. If your firm gives you a Rithmic or Tradovate account, you can connect it. Check your firm's terms to confirm it allows Bookmap.

For futures you need at least the Global plan: the Digital plans only give delayed futures.

Pricing

Plan Monthly Paying yearly What it is for
Digital Free Free Real-time crypto; delayed futures and stocks
Digital+ $19 $16 The same, with more history
Global $49 $39 Real-time futures and stocks with a data provider
Global+ $99 $79 More advanced add-ons

Source: Bookmap pricing page, checked on 9 October 2026. Global and Global+ are also sold as lifetime licences for $990 and $1,990.

Futures data is not included. It costs extra: with BookmapData, $34 to $79 a month; with dxFeed, $37 per exchange; with Rithmic, $40 to $101 a month. If your firm already gives you Rithmic data, ask whether you can use it in Bookmap.

What users say

Bookmap scores 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 604 reviews. Almost three in ten of those we read arrive by invitation. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

  • What people like: the best heatmap on the market, the community and education.
  • Price is the most repeated complaint: almost everything costs extra.
  • Doubts about usefulness: several critics point out that many large orders are pulled before being filled, so the heatmap can mislead.
  • Data charges that continued after cancelling, in some cases.

Verdict

If you want to see liquidity, Bookmap is the benchmark, and it connects to the futures platforms most used by prop firms. But adding up plan and data, it is expensive, and it is not a tool that will make you win on its own.

Who it is for: futures traders who trade by reading liquidity and the order book.

Who it is not for: beginners or anyone on a small budget.

Alternatives

  • ATAS: footprint and clusters, with its own heatmap.
  • GoCharting: cheap order flow in the browser.
  • Sierra Chart: very stable order flow.
