Our review

RedotPay review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded7 min read

RedotPay is an account and card that run on crypto, mainly digital dollars like USDT and USDC. You receive crypto in the app and pay with the card at any merchant, online or with your phone. The conversion to money happens at the moment you pay. For anyone paid by their prop firm in crypto, it is a way to spend payouts without going through an exchange or a bank.

We read its entire help center (261 articles), its general terms, its website, 367 of its 985 Trustpilot reviews and what is said about it on Reddit.

Who is behind it

RedotPay belongs to a group of companies based in Hong Kong: Red F. Technology Limited, Red Dot Technology Limited and Red Dot Trust Limited, with an office in The Center building, in Central. The group also has companies in Argentina, Panama and the United States. Its terms are governed by Hong Kong law.

Its website says it is an authorised virtual asset provider in Argentina, registered as a money services business in Canada and the United States, and holds money lender and trust licences in Hong Kong. The key point: it is not a bank, and your money does not have the protection of a bank deposit. It claims 9 million users in over 100 countries.

What to know from its terms:

  • It can freeze or close your account whenever it wants, without notice or explanation, and you will have no right to compensation.
  • Its liability is capped: at most, the balance in your account.
  • Fees are non-refundable.
  • It may charge you to return your balance if your account is suspended or closed.

How it works

You download the app, verify your identity and deposit crypto. Then you request the card.

  • Verification is mandatory. Personal details, a photo of your original ID, a face scan, your address and a short questionnaire. One account per person, aged 18 or over.
  • Virtual card. Ready in minutes. It works online and, added to Apple Pay or Google Pay, for paying in shops with your phone.
  • Physical card. For card payments and cash at ATMs. There is only one design, in red.
  • Up to 5 cards in your lifetime, including deleted ones. All in dollars since January 2026, valid for three years.
  • You pay with what you hold. You choose the order of currencies used to pay; crypto is converted to dollars at an average price from the five largest exchanges.
  • Also: transfers to banks, free transfers between users, peer-to-peer trading, credit with your crypto as collateral and yield products.

Where you can get it

This is the first thing to check, because its exclusion list is long and changes. According to its help center:

  • You cannot use it if you live in, among others, the United States, mainland China, Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, Iran, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia or Montenegro.
  • You cannot get a card, virtual or physical, if your address is also in India, Indonesia, Turkey, Morocco, Nepal or Singapore.
  • They do not ship the physical card to Egypt, Tunisia or Palestine either.

Spain and most of Latin America appear as available, except Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Haiti.

Fees

Item Cost
Virtual card $10, once
Physical card $100, once; standard shipping free
Annual or monthly fee None
Paying in dollars Free
Paying in another currency (euros, for example) 1.2%
Converting your crypto when paying 1%
ATM withdrawal 2%; 3% above $10,000 a month
Payments of $1 or less First 5 a month free; then $0.20 each
Declined payments First 3 a month free; then $0.50 each
Some merchants (Discord, Facebook Ads, games) 1.5%, minimum $0.50

Source: RedotPay help center, checked on 8 October 2026.

Do the maths: if you pay in euros with USDT, you add the 1% conversion and the 1.2% currency fee. That is 2.2% on every purchase.

Three details that generate many complaints:

  • You need balance for the fee. A $4.99 payment with $5 in the account is declined, because the 1% conversion is missing.
  • Declined payments cost money. From the fourth in a month, $0.50 each, and they can push your balance negative.
  • Sending crypto on the wrong network is expensive. They can recover it, but one user says they were charged 10%.

RedotPay Pro

It is an optional subscription:

Plan Price What it includes
Monthly $12.90 a month One free virtual card and 3% cashback
Annual $129 a year One free physical card, 3% cashback and up to $1,000 a month in fee-free ATM withdrawals

The cashback is 3%, but only on Apple Pay or Google Pay payments, capped at $18 a month. Fees are non-refundable. If you plan to get the physical card and use ATMs, the annual plan can pay off: the physical card alone already costs $100.

Limits

Limit Dollar card
Per payment $100,000
Per day $1,000,000
ATM 3 times a day and 30 a month; $3,750 a day and $50,000 a month

In some countries, the ATM limit drops to $3,000 a day and $10,000 a month. You can set your own limits in the app.

For receiving your payouts

If your firm pays you in USDT or USDC, you can use your RedotPay deposit address as your payout address, on the same network the firm uses. Before you do:

  • Check the network. Each coin is only accepted on certain networks, and there is a minimum deposit. Anything below the minimum is not credited until you send more.
  • Bear the reviews in mind. RedotPay screens every deposit for funds of doubtful origin, and can hold it and ask for proof. One of the patterns it watches is withdrawing money right after receiving it. Several reviews describe deposits held or accounts frozen for weeks in the meantime.
  • Do not keep everything there. Because of the above, and because it is not a bank, it is better used for everyday spending than as a savings account.

What users say

It scores 3.2 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 985 reviews, and Trustpilot shows a high-risk investment notice on its page. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

What comes up most:

  • For paying, it works. Many use it daily in several countries, and it is very popular in North Africa and South Asia, where banking is expensive or limited.
  • Frozen accounts are the most serious complaint. Source-of-funds reviews lasting weeks, with funds inside and no clear explanation.
  • Support is slow. An automated assistant, replies that take days and repeated requests for the same documents.
  • Fees are a surprise. Especially declined payments and negative balances.
  • Positive reviews are short, and nine in ten arrive through the company's own review form.
  • On Reddit, the most repeated advice is not to keep much money inside; one user suggests no more than 1,000 USDT. There are also complaints about subscriptions declining the card because its issuing country does not match the account's country.

How to use it well

  1. Check your country on its list before verifying your account.
  2. Start with the $10 virtual card and add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  3. Always keep a little more balance than you plan to spend, for the 1% conversion.
  4. Check the network of every deposit twice.
  5. Pay in dollars when the merchant lets you choose, and you save the 1.2%.
  6. Do not keep more in it than you plan to spend.
  7. Keep proof of your payouts in case they ask for the source of funds.

Alternatives

Verdict

RedotPay delivers the basics it promises: it turns your digital dollars into a card that works almost anywhere, with no annual fee and a $10 virtual card. For a trader paid in USDT or USDC who lives in a country with expensive banking, it is one of the simplest ways to spend a payout.

But it is not a bank, it can freeze your account without explanation, its support is slow and its small fees add up. Use it as a spending card, not as an account to store your profits.

Who it is for: traders paid in USDT or USDC, living in a supported country, who want to spend that money without going through an exchange.

Who it is not for: residents of the United States, India, Turkey and the other excluded countries, anyone wanting to keep their savings there, and anyone who needs fast support when something goes wrong.

Review analysis

What people say about RedotPay on Trustpilot

We read 367 of its 985 reviews (the 200 most recent 1 star reviews, every 2 to 4 star one and the 5 star ones among the 200 most recent), on 8 October 2026.

3.2 Trustpilot score
3.0 Based on what they say
Features 4.0

Users like paying with crypto without a bank, sending money to bank accounts, the cheap virtual card and credit backed by crypto. It is especially valued in countries with expensive or restricted banking. More fee-free currencies are missed.

See review
★★★★★“A great option too for North african users where the banking system is extremely poor and expensive.”
Reliability 2.6

For paying it works well: many use it daily in more than one country and one user paid $8,000 at once without problems. The problem is around the card: accounts frozen for weeks over source-of-funds reviews, held deposits, bank transfers that do not arrive and merchant refunds that take months.

See 3 reviews
★★★★★“Card payments are always smooth, almost no declines at all even did larger transactions like 8K $ in one go.”
★★★★★“They froze my account and are just holding my funds hostage for “ a review “ that will take 2 months.”
★★★★★“I cannot add funds. My deposits are halted pending the KYT process, which is difficult to navigate.”
Value for money 3.0

With no annual fee and a $10 virtual card, it is cheap for paying in dollars. But complaints about surprising fees repeat: the 1% conversion that makes a payment fail by cents, declined payment charges that push the balance negative, $100 for the physical card and 10% to recover crypto sent on the wrong network.

See 2 reviews
★★★★★“I have 5 dollar on my card , my payment is 4.99, it declined my purchase”
★★★★★“RedotPay recovered the token and sent it back (credit where credit is due!), but the fee was a flat 10% fee, which strikes me as egregious.”
Ease of use 4.0

The app is described as fast and easy, and the virtual card is ready in minutes. Drawbacks: errors in identity and address verification that lock the account, and that for months it did not work with Apple Pay.

See review
★★★★★“Love the app. Pretty easy to use, love the format and the occasional upgrades make the app even 10x better.”
Support 2.0

It is the main complaint: six in ten negative reviews mention support. Replies that take days, an automated assistant that does not help, repeated requests for the same documents and cases that drag on for weeks. Some positive reviews say it was eventually solved.

See 2 reviews
★★★★★“if u send message u need to wait for 2- 3days, my money has been there and they haven't refunded it”
★★★★★“I confirm that RedotPay has now successfully completed the refund of $42.90 USDT, and I received the funds in my wallet.”
Transparency 2.5

It replies to almost every review, but with templates that explain the fee or ask users to contact the app. It rarely explains why it freezes an account, and some users say its public replies contradict what they were told by email. In its favour, it publishes its fees and the list of unsupported countries.

By rating

Positive · 4 and 5

Short and almost all from accounts with one or two reviews: the app is easy, the card works and transfers arrive. Nine in ten arrive through the company's verified review form.

Mixed · 3

The most useful ones: the card works well day to day, but a refund, a physical card that never arrives or a failed verification turns into weeks of waiting.

Negative · 1 and 2

Many, and from 2026. Accounts frozen with funds inside, unexpected fees, lost transfers and support that gives no clear answers. Several accuse the company of theft; we saw no proof of that, but we did see long freezes.

How RedotPay replies

It replied to 360 of the 367 reviews, half of them within two days. Replies explain the fee applied, say the transaction is already completed or ask users to contact in-app support. Some are specific and admit the mistake; many are templates.

To a fee complaint
“Please rest assured that every transaction breakdown is clearly displayed directly within the App.”
To a payment declined by cents
“To clarify, each card transaction requires a 1% processing fee. For a $4.99 USD payment, the required total balance is $5.04 USD”
To a frozen account

Can you trust these reviews?

Trustpilot states the company invites reviews, and a quarter arrive through its verified review form, almost all positive and from new accounts.
