Bitget Wallet Card review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded4 min read

The Bitget Wallet Card is the card from Bitget Wallet, the Bitget group's crypto wallet app. First, a warning: the exchange's Bitget Card stopped accepting applications on 1 August 2026. Bitget sends new customers to this other card, which you apply for from a different app and which works differently.

We read the official card page, Bitget and Bitget Wallet help articles, the physical card press release and the 62 most recent Bitget Wallet reviews on Trustpilot.

What changed in 2026

  • The exchange's Bitget Card paid straight from your Bitget account. It no longer accepts new customers. Existing cards keep working, but are not renewed when they expire.
  • The Bitget Wallet Card is applied for in the Bitget Wallet app. It is a wallet where you hold your own keys, not an exchange account. You top up the card with stablecoins from your wallet and spend that balance.

Who is behind it

Bitget Wallet is the Bitget group's wallet, which claims over 90 million users. Its website says the card is issued by different partners depending on the region, but does not name them. It is Visa or Mastercard depending on the region; in Europe, according to one user, it is Mastercard.

An important detail of a self-custody wallet: if you lose your recovery phrase, the card still works for payments, but you cannot top it up, withdraw the balance or recover the account.

How it works

  • Apply from the app, with identity verification that usually takes a minute.
  • Top up with USDT, USDC, ETH or SOL from your wallet. The card holds the balance in dollars.
  • Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.
  • Physical card only in Asia-Pacific: Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines. It charges a one-off production and shipping fee.

Where you can get it

  • Europe: the European Economic Area and the UK.
  • Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
  • Asia-Pacific: Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines.
  • Others: Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa.

It is not available in the United States.

Fees

This is the weak point: Bitget does not publish a clear fee table per region, and its own texts contradict each other.

Item What Bitget says
Virtual card issuance Free
Annual or monthly fee None
Topping up the card 1% in its help center; 0% in its blog articles
Paying in another currency 1.7%
Fee-free allowance (physical) Up to $600 a month in purchases and ATMs

Sources: card page, Bitget Wallet help center and the 1 April 2026 press release, checked on 9 October 2026.

A European user sums it up on Trustpilot: 1% to top up plus 1.7% to pay in another currency. For someone paying in euros with a dollar card, that is almost 3 points per purchase.

Bitget says that if you spend between $200 and $400 a month, the 3% reward usually covers those fees. Above the monthly allowance, standard fees apply.

The reward: assetback

Instead of cashback in money, Bitget Wallet gives you back a percentage in the asset you choose: bitcoin, gold, US stocks (NVIDIA, Google, Tesla or the S&P 500) or USDC.

  • 2% for all cardholders.
  • 3% for new users and those reaching the monthly minimum spend.
  • You can change the asset once a month.
  • ATMs, transfers, currency exchange, gambling, gift cards and payments to brokers do not count.

Note: a European user said in July 2026 that their card had no cashback. The reward for everyone has appeared on the website since August.

What users say

Bitget Wallet scores 3.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from only 82 reviews, and almost none discuss the card. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

  • The only in-depth review of the European card praises Apple Pay and controlling your own funds, but criticises the fees, a $5,000 daily limit that falls short for traders and support that only gives automated replies.
  • Serious complaints are about the wallet: funds blocked for months and thefts. Several are scams by websites impersonating Bitget.

For receiving your payouts

If your firm pays in USDT or USDC, you can receive it in your Bitget Wallet and top up the card from there. Keep in mind the top-up fee and that, as a self-custody wallet, you are responsible for your keys.

Verdict

The Bitget Wallet Card reaches many countries, including Europe and much of Latin America, and its reward in bitcoin, gold or stocks is original. But its fees are confusing and, when paying in euros, they can eat almost all of the reward.

Who it is for: those already using Bitget Wallet, paid in stablecoins and spending in dollars, or living in Asia-Pacific and wanting the physical card.

Who it is not for: anyone looking for clear fees, anyone paying mostly in euros and anyone who does not want to look after their own keys.

Alternatives

  • KAST: also in dollars, with 1.5% cashback and no fee.
  • Wirex: free physical card in Europe and no exchange fee.
  • RedotPay: widely used outside Europe, with a physical card.

What people say about Bitget Wallet Card on Trustpilot

We read 62 of its 82 reviews (reviews of bitget wallet, the app that has issued the card since august 2026. only one discusses the card in depth; the rest are about the wallet), on 9 October 2026.

3.4 Trustpilot score
2.9 Based on what they say
Features 3.0

The only in-depth review of the European card, from July 2026, complains about a $5,000 daily limit, no physical card or bank account and no cashback. Since August, its website advertises a 2% reward for everyone.

See review
★★★★★“5k daily spend limit, quite small for someone who moves money like prop traders”
Reliability 2.8

Serious complaints are about the wallet, not the card: funds blocked for months and thefts users blame on the app. Several are actually third-party scams impersonating Bitget. There are no complaints about failed card payments.

See review
★★★★★“My funds have been blocked for over 4 months with no valid explanation.”
Value for money 3.0

No fee, but the European user adds 1% to top up and 1.7% to pay in another currency. Bitget says the 2% to 3% reward offsets those fees up to a certain monthly spend.

See review
★★★★★“So 1% Topup fee, plus 1.7% fx fee = no likey.”
Ease of use 3.9

The app is described as fast and easy even for beginners, and the card works with Apple Pay. The downside of a self-custody wallet: if you lose your recovery phrase, the card still pays but you cannot top it up or recover the money.

See review
★★★★★“Non-custodial, so you control your funds on-chain”
Support 2.0

Automated, generic replies with no human behind them, according to several reviews. The company does not reply to any Trustpilot review.

See review
★★★★★“I didn't like automated responses from support, I already could have gotten the same answer from AI chatbot.”
Transparency 2.5

Its website does not publish a clear fee table per region, and its own articles contradict each other: one says top-ups are free, another says 1%. It also does not name the entity issuing the card in each region.
