Social Trader Tools review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded8 min read

Social Trader Tools is a cloud platform for MetaTrader 4 and 5 accounts. Its main piece is a copier: you trade on one account, the "lead", and it replicates every order to your other accounts, the "followers", even at different brokers. Around the copier it has a dashboard for all your accounts, equity alerts, pages for selling signals and a white label version.

We read its whole website (copier, prop firm accounts, pricing, 50 FAQs with their answers and its terms of use), the 48 Trustpilot reviews you can read without an account and the copy trading rules of eleven CFD prop firms. Its knowledge base requires signing up, so we could not read it. It appears little on Reddit: one user recommends it for MetaTrader and another finds Traders Connect simpler to configure.

Who is behind it

The company is Titanium Financial Technology, registered in Mauritius under number C1344734. Its terms are governed by English law, and its servers are in London. The same company sells the API underneath, TradeSync, to anyone who wants to build their own copier. It claims more than ten years in business and over 30,000 connected accounts.

What to know from its terms before paying:

  • Its liability is limited to your last payment. If the copier fails and you lose an account, the most you get back is your last fee.
  • It does not guarantee the service is always available, and can suspend or change it without notice.
  • There are no refunds for what you have already paid when you cancel.
  • It does not guarantee you follow your firm's rules. It asks you to check before connecting the account.

What the company itself warns about

First, three warnings Social Trader Tools gives in its FAQ, which are the key to this review:

  • It does not recommend scalping. Its copier takes about 50 milliseconds, but it says that, adding the broker and distance, real execution usually takes 0.6 to 1.5 seconds or more. It sees it as suited to swing, intraday, signals and robots that do not depend on speed.
  • It does not allow high frequency. If they think your activity abuses the system, they may restrict or remove your access.
  • On MT5 it only works with "hedging" accounts, which allow several positions per symbol. It is not compatible with "netting" accounts, which merge everything into one position. One user with a netting account says the follower ignored the take profit for two hours; the company later blamed a close rejected by the broker.

How it works

Everything runs in the cloud: you need no VPS and do not have to keep MetaTrader open. You connect your accounts with their login and password, create a copier with one lead and as many followers as you like, and switch it on. You can copy from MT4 to MT5 and back, across brokers and currencies, and from demo to live.

  • Read-only password. The lead can use the investor password; followers need the full one.
  • No MetaQuotes demos. It asks you to use your broker's demos, because MetaQuotes ones have connection issues.
  • Copy chains. A follower can itself be the lead for other accounts.
  • Logs. An event log explains why something was not copied (copier off, symbol disabled, stop disabled) and another log shows broker errors. If you enable alerts, they arrive by email.
  • From your phone. Web dashboard; there is no app.

How it sizes and what it copies

There are four ways to size each follower:

  • By balance: follower balance divided by lead balance, times the lead's lot and the multiplier.
  • By equity: the same, using live equity.
  • Lot multiplier: the lead's lot times the number you set.
  • Fixed lot: always the same.

It can also copy pending orders with their changes and cancellations, copy the stop and target exactly as the lead, let each follower use its own, or set them at a fixed distance. You can disable symbols, map different names between brokers (GOLD to XAUUSD, for example), copy trades already open when creating the copier, force the minimum lot and copy in the opposite direction.

It does not copy cTrader, TradeLocker or Match-Trader, nor Telegram signals. From TradingView it works if orders end up on a MetaTrader account, but pending orders may not show until they fill.

Equity protection

They call it Equity Monitor. There are four rule types: equity below an amount, a percentage drop, equity above an amount or a percentage gain. When triggered, you choose between sending an email, sending an email and switching off the copier, or also closing every trade on that account. It runs in the cloud around the clock.

Beyond the copier

  • Account dashboard. Balance, equity, open trades, history, stats by symbol and by hour, and CSV export.
  • Selling signals. A public page with your results, and free access, subscription, performance fee or a mix. The money goes straight to your Stripe or PayPal.
  • White label. A copy of the platform with your logo and colours for your clients, included in every plan.

Pricing and terms

Plan Monthly Accounts
Standard $20 2
Plus $60 5
Pro $120 10
Premium $220 20
Rolling $10 per account In blocks of 20: 40 accounts, $400

Each account takes one slot, whether lead or follower. With the $20 plan you get one lead and one follower. Watch the jumps: going from 2 to 3 accounts takes you from $20 to $60 a month.

  • There is no free trial. They suggest starting with the small plan.
  • Monthly billing only, by card or PayPal through Paddle. No crypto or bank transfer.
  • If a payment fails, they retry three times and then cancel the subscription.
  • Upgrades are charged pro rata; downgrades leave credit for the next payment.

What prop firms say

Social Trader Tools connecting to your account does not mean you are allowed to use it. Its own website says it is only for use "where your prop firm permits trade copying tools and external EAs". This is what the official rules say at the CFD firms we track:

Firm Copy trading What you need to know
E8 Markets Allowed Between your own accounts, including personal ones
FundedNext Contradictory Its help center allows it between accounts of the same person; its terms forbid it without written authorisation
The5ers Allowed between your accounts Copying other traders or accounts is forbidden
FundingPips Allowed between your accounts Only between FundingPips accounts in your name
Fintokei Allowed with caveats You can copy your own trades from other firms. Reverse copying is forbidden
BrightFunded Allowed between your accounts Only accounts of the same person
Blue Guardian Allowed between your accounts Forbidden in its competitions
Funded Trader Markets Allowed Also from other firms or brokers, if the trades are yours
Goat Funded Trader Almost forbidden Only between funded accounts
Dolvero Forbidden Not even between Dolvero accounts
Fundex Restricted No trading from VPS or datacenter IPs

Source: each firm's help center or official terms, checked on 8 October 2026. Rules change: check your firm's page before copying.

Two more details: Social Trader Tools offers no static IP or dedicated server, and all your accounts connect from its London servers. If your firm monitors IPs or asks you to trade from your own device, check first. And do not use reverse copying between prop firm accounts: many firms treat it as hedging across accounts.

What users say

It scores 2.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 53 reviews, the lowest of the copiers we have analysed. Half of the reviews are 1 star. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

What comes up most:

  • Copy failures with money lost. Stops not copied, missing trades, positions the lead never had and price differences of 10 to 15 pips. Some report losing prop firm accounts.
  • A server failure in April 2026, which the company acknowledged. One user lost several accounts because it disconnected just before the stop was hit.
  • Users without problems blame the setup. Several 5 star reviews say the bad ones come from people who did not configure it properly.
  • Support replies quickly, but does not own failures. It is the most repeated complaint after reliability.

Many negative reviews date from 2022 and 2023, and the company may have improved since. But those from 2025 and 2026 still describe the same issues.

How to use it well

  1. Do not use it for scalping or news. The company itself says so.
  2. Check that your MT5 accounts are "hedging" before paying.
  3. Use your broker's demos, not MetaQuotes ones, for testing.
  4. Turn on email alerts and an equity protection rule on every follower.
  5. Check the copier logs every day.
  6. Do not use reverse copying with prop firm accounts.

Alternatives

  • Duplikium: also cloud based, with more settings, cTrader and DXtrade, static IPs and a dedicated server, and a no-card free trial.
  • Traders Connect: cloud based, with Match-Trader, TradeLocker and futures. Cheaper from three accounts.
  • Tradecopia: if you trade futures.

Verdict

Social Trader Tools is a veteran, complete option for anyone managing MetaTrader accounts: copier, dashboard, alerts, signal selling and white label in one place. And it has one welcome trait: it is clear about what it does not do well.

But its reliability record is the worst of the copiers we have analysed, it is not suited to scalping, it only connects MetaTrader and the price jumps between plans are large. For a few accounts, there are cheaper, better rated options.

Who it is for: MetaTrader account managers or signal sellers with slower strategies, who want a dashboard, signals and white label together.

Who it is not for: scalpers, anyone trading on cTrader, Match-Trader or TradeLocker, and anyone looking to copy to three or four prop firm accounts at the lowest price.

Review analysis

What people say about Social Trader Tools on Trustpilot

We read 48 of its 53 reviews (every review trustpilot shows without an account, from february 2022 to april 2026), on 8 October 2026.

2.7 Trustpilot score
3.1 Based on what they say
Features 3.4

It covers the basics: several sizing methods, reverse copying, pending orders and equity protection. It is valued as a tool for account managers. Drawbacks: MetaTrader only, no MT5 netting accounts, and not suited to scalping according to the company itself.

See 2 reviews
★★★★★“Also great for prop trading - linking various prop trading accounts to a master account.”
★★★★★“Copying speed is not good for scalpers.”
Reliability 2.2

It is the central complaint. Half of the reviews are 1 star and almost all tell the same story: trades not copied, stops not reaching followers, positions the master never had and disconnections mid-trade, sometimes with prop firm accounts lost. In April 2026 the company acknowledged a server failure.

See 3 reviews
★★★★★“The copier did not edit my stop loss and take profit which leaded to a loss of 40k instead of a win of 20k”
★★★★★“Disconnected just before hitting SL, blown multiple accounts.”
★★★★★“I have all my Funded Accounts, Challenges and Personal Account on there and everything works fine.”
Value for money 3.0

Few talk about price. Those who do find it a bit expensive, and one review says that after deleting and re-adding an account it was asked to upgrade. Another complains about still paying the invoice after losing the accounts.

See review
★★★★★“A little expensive for me and I think a few features should be added but the support is responsive”
Ease of use 3.6

Happy users say it is clear once you understand the settings, and several 5 star reviews blame others for setting it up wrong. Negative ones mention hard connections and having to map hundreds of symbols by hand.

See 2 reviews
★★★★★“It takes a bit of tinkering at first and a small learning curve, but that's a given with anything.”
★★★★★“They asked me to manually map 200 symbols untill they fix this bug in the future!”
Support 2.9

As divisive as the rest. Positive reviews mention quick, polite replies. Negative ones describe support that does not take responsibility, blames the setup or the broker and, in some cases, does not reply.

See 2 reviews
★★★★★“They respond within minutes and explain step by step exactly how to resolve any issue.”
★★★★★“they gave me the reason but they didn't take any kind of responsibility”
Transparency 3.2

Its FAQ is clear about what it does not do well: it does not recommend scalping or high frequency and explains that real execution takes 0.6 to 1.5 seconds. It publicly acknowledged the April 2026 outage. Against it: it replied in bulk to old reviews in July 2025, mostly positive ones, and a 2022 user says it deleted its earlier replies.

By rating

Positive · 4 and 5

Mostly short. They mention support and that it works, and several defend the tool against criticism by saying the problem is the setup.

Mixed · 3

Only two: the tool is liked but support and plans are not, and it is too slow for scalping.

Negative · 1 and 2

They are half the total, mostly from 2022 and 2023, with a rise again in 2025 and 2026. Copy failures with specific amounts, prop firm accounts lost and support that takes no responsibility.

How Social Trader Tools replies

It replied to 30 of the 48 reviews, but 18 of them on the same day, 21 July 2025, mostly to thank old positive reviews. It replies to negative ones later, asking for contact or blaming the setup or the broker. In 2026 it acknowledged a server failure.

To someone who lost accounts to a disconnection
“Unfortunately, on this day, we experienced a brief server failure. We did investigate the issue and improved our system so we can try to avoid the same issue going forward.”
To a complaint about speed
“As stated in our FAQ, we do not recommend scalping on our platform.”
To someone whose trades were not copied
“Missed trades usually happen due to setup issues or broker restrictions.”
