Tradervue review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded2 min read

Tradervue is one of the oldest trading journals. It is endorsed by SMB Capital, a well-known New York stock trading firm, and is built mainly for stock traders. It has lots of reports and lets you share your journal with mentors.

We read its pricing page, its platform list and all of its Trustpilot reviews, of which there are only 10.

How it works

  1. Import your trades by uploading a file from your platform, or with automatic sync for some stock brokers.
  2. Tradervue plots each trade on the chart, with entries and exits.
  3. Tags and filters let you group by setup, mistake or anything you like.
  4. Over 100 reports show where you win and where you lose.
  5. You can share trades with the community or your mentors.

Prop firm platforms: file only

Tradervue has instruction pages for MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic, NinjaTrader and Sierra Chart, and the method is the same for all of them: export a file and upload it. There is no automatic sync with these platforms, so you will need to do it every time you want to update your journal.

DXtrade, Match-Trader, TradeLocker and ProjectX are not listed.

Be careful with the free trial. Silver and Gold have a trial period, but according to its website it charges automatically at the end unless you switch to the free plan first. There is no actual cancel button.

What users say

Tradervue scores 2.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot, but from only 10 reviews over several years, so it is not a reliable score. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

  • Nine of the ten complain about charges: after the trial ended, after cancelling or even, in one case, two years after cancelling.
  • Support that only works by email and is slow or does not reply.
  • The only positive one says they imported almost 500 trades in 10 minutes and found their weak points right away.

Verdict

Tradervue is a veteran journal with good reports, but for a prop firm trader it has fallen behind: no sync with their platforms, no artificial intelligence and more expensive than more complete alternatives. And the few reviews it has warn about billing problems.

Who it is for: stock traders who want a classic journal and to share it with a mentor.

Who it is not for: forex or futures prop firm traders, who have better and cheaper options.

Alternatives

  • TradesViz: syncs futures platforms and monitors the rules of 20 prop firms.
  • TradeZella: with a prop firm spending and payouts dashboard.
  • Edgewonk: complete stats for a low yearly price.

What people say about Tradervue on Trustpilot

We read 10 of its 10 reviews (every review on its page. there are only 10, so it is not a representative sample), on 9 October 2026.

2.4 Trustpilot score
2.6 Based on what they say
Features 3.3

A classic journal with over 100 reports and unlimited mentors on paid plans. No AI, no trade replay and, with prop firm platforms, it only imports by file upload.

Reliability 2.5

Few reviews and almost all negative, but they repeat the same problem: charges after cancelling or when the free trial ends. A 2026 review mentions errors when entering trades.

See review
★★★★★“Two years after cancelling they are still billing and will not refund!”
Value for money 2.4

Silver at $29.95 and Gold at $49.95 a month, more expensive than alternatives with more features. The free trial turns into a paid plan unless you switch to the free plan in time.

Ease of use 3.0

The only positive review says that, once they learned the process, they imported 499 trades in under 10 minutes. Negative ones describe an outdated interface.

See review
★★★★★“Once I learned the import process, I uploaded 499 trades (2024 and 2025) in less than 10 minutes.”
Support 1.8

Reviews say contact is by email only and replies are slow or never come.

Transparency 2.5

It publishes prices and a platform list with instructions. But there is no clear cancel button: you must switch to the free plan, and several reviews say they were charged anyway.

  • Unlimited mentors on paid plans
  • Over 100 reports

What people criticise

All spontaneous, but there are only 10 over several years: useful as a warning, not as a reliable score.
