WhiteBIT Nova review

Researched and written by TheGodFunded4 min read

WhiteBIT Nova is the card of the WhiteBIT crypto exchange. The idea is simple: you pay with the card and the money comes straight out of your exchange balance, with nothing to top up first. But it changed a lot in 2026, and that is worth knowing first.

We read its entire help center (245 articles), its terms of use and 299 of its 474 Trustpilot reviews.

What changed in 2026

  • The euro card is frozen in Europe. Since 30 June 2026, the euro Nova stopped working on whitebit.com because of the new European crypto-asset rules (MiCA). It will stay frozen until WhiteBIT Europe, the new European platform, opens, which has no date yet. Then you will need to verify again and migrate the card.
  • The new card is a different one. It is called Nova USD: virtual only, in dollars, and issued by JSC Hash Bank, a bank in Georgia. Its help center says explicitly that it is not a continuation of the euro card.

Who is behind it

WhiteBIT is an exchange of Ukrainian origin that operates through many companies: its terms list entities in Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Australia, Georgia, Hong Kong, Brazil and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, among others. The Nova USD card is issued by JSC Hash Bank, in Georgia, on the Visa network.

Its help center and terms make clear it can restrict, freeze or close an account if it suspects its use, and several reviews describe reviews lasting up to 90 business days.

How Nova USD works

  • Virtual only, ready instantly. There is no physical card.
  • You spend from the exchange's main balance, not the trading balance. The available balance is calculated in dollars from the coins you choose.
  • It is only for payments. No ATM withdrawals for now, and no transfers to other cards.
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay, added manually from the wallet app, because the WhiteBIT app does not do it for you yet.
  • Card-specific verification, separate from the exchange's.

Where you can get it

Its help center publishes a long list of about 140 countries, mainly in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, India, Turkey, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, among others. It is not available in the United States, the UK, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama or Venezuela.

Watch out for a contradiction: one September article includes the European Union countries, Spain among them, in that list, and a later one does not. Given what happened to the euro card, assume it is not available in the EU until WhiteBIT Europe opens.

Fees and limits

Adding the payment fee and the conversion fee, a payment in euros can cost around 3% plus $0.20. It is one of the most expensive cards on this list. And if a purchase is refunded, the fee is not.

It does not accept payments for betting, casinos, lotteries, brokers or money transfers.

Cashback

You pick three merchant categories (taxis, supermarkets, subscriptions, restaurants...) and can change them once a week. Cashback is paid in BTC or WBT, the exchange's token, with a $25 monthly cap, and you can only withdraw it once you reach 5 USDC. If the merchant is classified under a different code than you expected, there is no cashback: it is the most repeated complaint about the card.

What users say

WhiteBIT scores 3.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 474 reviews, but Trustpilot shows a warning on its page that it has detected fabricated reviews. These are also reviews of the whole exchange: only 28 of those we read mention the card. Our review analysis above breaks it down.

What comes up most about the card:

  • The European card shutdown, which several users say they were not warned about, leaving one without their only card.
  • Cashback not credited because the merchant shows up under another category.
  • Verifications taking over a month.
  • Those who used it before the shutdown say it worked everywhere.

Verdict

Nova made sense as a fee-free European card for spending from the exchange. Today that card is frozen, and its replacement is virtual only, with no ATMs, 1.5% plus $0.20 on every payment and cashback capped at $25 a month. There are cheaper and more complete options on this same list.

Who it is for: users already trading on WhiteBIT, living in one of its supported countries, who want to spend their balance without moving it elsewhere.

Who it is not for: EU residents until WhiteBIT Europe opens, anyone needing cash withdrawals and anyone looking for a cheap card.

Alternatives

  • RedotPay: no fee, 1% conversion and a physical card.
  • KAST: free in dollars with 1.5% cashback.
  • Wirex: free physical card, available in the EU.

Reliability 2.3

The most serious 2026 complaint: on 1 July WhiteBIT froze every EU euro card, with no return date, and several users say they got no warning. Support 2.2

Template replies, especially for restricted accounts, where they cite timelines of up to 90 business days. One user who lost their only card describes it as one of their worst customer service experiences.

Positive · 4 and 5

Mostly about the exchange; the few mentioning the card praise its cashback and that it works everywhere. Many arrive by invitation.

Mixed · 3

Few: different physical card prices on the website and in the app, and verifications that reject certain documents.

Negative · 1 and 2

Card-related ones cluster around two themes: cashback not credited due to category and the European card shutdown in July 2026. The rest are about the exchange: blocked withdrawals and restricted accounts.
